It is now time to switch to a new Money AM football blog as the world cup is now over and we all look to the future.....World cup 2010 is over, Bravo Espana, and Forlan, once again and bring on the new season !.....I never expected the last thread to be such a success...thanks all.... so this new one might go on for years without the need to edit the title...we shall see...

KEEEERRRRCHINNNG!!!

Chris Carson - 01 Jul 2014 23:18 - 3508 of 6918

Great Goal!

Chris Carson - 01 Jul 2014 23:20 - 3509 of 6918

What a miss, what a match brilliant!

HARRYCAT - 01 Jul 2014 23:23 - 3510 of 6918

Good match & Howard defended his goal like a Trojan. Fellaini hopeless!

Chris Carson - 01 Jul 2014 23:23 - 3511 of 6918

Tim Howard how many times has he saved the USA. If this team doesn't promote soccer in the USA then nothing will.

HARRYCAT - 01 Jul 2014 23:25 - 3512 of 6918

I think the Belgians will have a better chance against Argentina though.

Chris Carson - 01 Jul 2014 23:34 - 3513 of 6918

Best match of the tournament.

Chris Carson - 01 Jul 2014 23:36 - 3514 of 6918

Good team Harry.

Dil - 02 Jul 2014 01:17 - 3515 of 6918

I must be watching a different tournament Chris :-)

Dil - 02 Jul 2014 01:24 - 3516 of 6918

Says it all about what is wrong with PL wen I've been supporting Chile (Gary Medel) and S Korea (Kim Bo-Yung) and Man U and Everton fans are cheering on every other bugger in the World Cup that their players play for.

I can remember the day when the top British teams consisted of Brits.

Dil - 02 Jul 2014 01:31 - 3517 of 6918

... errr and I'm not talking Leighton James and Burnley Stan :-)

Chris Carson - 02 Jul 2014 07:22 - 3518 of 6918

To be honest Dil haven't seen that many matches, been playing a lot of golf and bowls. The match last night apart from the extra time resembled a Premier League match.

Fellaini wasn't very impressive. But I did like his delightful and visionary pass to set up Belgium's second goal.

kimoldfield - 02 Jul 2014 10:47 - 3520 of 6918

To regain confidence in the England Squad, Roy Hodgson has arranged a friendly against Iceland. Should they win, he will be arranging further friendlies in the future against Asda, Morrisons and Sainsbury's.

The England team went to visit an orphanage in Brazil after their first match. "It's good to put a smile on the faces of people with no hope, constantly struggling and facing the impossible." said Emilio Di Costa aged 6.

Future England games will be moved to the Gay Adult TV channel as the screening of eleven ar*eholes being hammered for 90 minutes is considered too explicit for ITV.

England played like Liverpool towards the end of the season, quite good going forward but leaving gaping holes in defence, without the Suarez punch upfront...

kimoldfield - 02 Jul 2014 13:53 - 3522 of 6918

Yes indeed. I'm afraid Liverpool may well lose there bite in the new season too! :o)

required field - 02 Jul 2014 22:09 - 3523 of 6918

The thing with losing possession in midfield if you are a player is to respond within a second or so and to harass the player that has dispossessed you even if you do not get the ball back, the opposing player will have little time to put a damaging pass in, if the England players respond quickly...too many times : England players are still pondering what to do after losing the ball...making a challenge in the middle of the park is the best place to do it....

required field - 02 Jul 2014 22:23 - 3524 of 6918

Suarez will probably move to Barca.....Liverpool will miss him....

required field - 02 Jul 2014 22:25 - 3525 of 6918

double post, sorry.....computer locks up sometimes...

ExecLine - 03 Jul 2014 09:41 - 3526 of 6918

'Miss' is an understatement! 'Cognitive dissonance' more like.

Liverpool crowds will certainly suffer without Suarez. They will have great difficulty coming to terms with losing someone who is such a terrifically good player but, at the same time, is such an utter shit of a person.
