THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Haystack,

#35072. I would've thought you'd need mods' permissions for that kinda thing to happen.

;o)

GF.

It seems if a thread is getting "sufficient" or the "right" attention, Ian or equivalent duplicates it to both "rooms".

But there seems to be a diminished number of posting on the "trading room".

Possibly, due to the market being a little dodgy for other than short tern trading and doubts about the future economy.

Could start one on Soup Kitchen Recipes if you like.

Thanks Fred never new that. Must confess I never go on there.

Fred1new - 04 Jan 2014 20:22 - 35082 of 81564

Would they let you in?

dreamcatcher - 04 Jan 2014 20:23 - 35083 of 81564

I'm in twice fred. :-))

goldfinger - 04 Jan 2014 21:16 - 35084 of 81564

DC.....your question, yes if you have the EPIC. Ive done it before, in fact Ive done it and used a false EPIC and then put the right one on when Ive got it and called the thread mark 2.

dreamcatcher - 04 Jan 2014 21:17 - 35085 of 81564

Thanks for that goldfinger.

goldfinger - 04 Jan 2014 21:22 - 35086 of 81564

Traders room, ohhhh you mean them that think they are pros because they trade short term ie, day traders or intraday and pay a fiver. Thats if its like advfns.

LOL, easy if you have the time and you havent yet made the money.

Honestly though you probably can pick up whats offered there for free elsewhere if you know where to look.

Even level 2 is free with some brokers.

Must admit though it probably is worth paying for the convenience of having everything under one umbrella if for example your into currencies/indicies/sectors.

goldfinger - 04 Jan 2014 21:23 - 35087 of 81564

Question is what is Hays doing on the Traders thread if he doesnt trade anymore???????

goldfinger - 04 Jan 2014 21:35 - 35088 of 81564

Max post the Wilsons..........

"One of Britain's best-known landlords has issued eviction notices to every tenant who is on welfare, and told letting agents that he will not accept any more applicants who need housing benefit".........................ends

You know what this is all about dont you..........LAs have been told not to allow direct payment to the landlord anymore therefore landlords are afraid they wont get their rent guranteed like as in the past.

Its IDS at work again, nasty little man.

I have to admit though some Landlords not tenants are responsible for this.

Continuing to take collection when tenants have moved on.

I wont say who the usual offenders are.

I am so pleased Chris that your Son was not hurt by the broken bottle and that somebody has been prosecuted for the awful offence. He being your son never mind whether being 23 or not will probably never get over the ordeal, at least I was able to relay your story to a 13 and 14 yr old today. May they take notice of the story I relayed to them, I hope so and if they were in future years in such a position they would not retaliate to be harmed. God Bless your son. How lucky, so yes I agree a very Happy New Year to you all.

I should have said 32 not 23 Chris. - I always get things wrong. Never mind so long as he is okay.

goldfinger - 04 Jan 2014 22:10 - 35091 of 81564

goldfinger - 04 Jan 2014 22:15 - 35093 of 81564

News just breaking.........Cameron says he wants to lower the highest rate of tax.....

Ahhhh so hes started on the 2015 election campaign.

Pensioners will be looked after............... needs their votes as per usual.

Talking as if the tax free allowance was a Tory policy.

Im sure the Lib Dems had that in THEIR policy document.

goldfinger - 04 Jan 2014 22:18 - 35094 of 81564

Fact is not a great deal of people pay 45% tax rate anyway if they are organised.

Most are paying 21%/20%.

Glad to say not myself Im proud to pay 45%. In fact I feel I have a responsibility to pay it.

dreamcatcher - 04 Jan 2014 22:37 - 35095 of 81564

11 million pensioners, tide turning. :-))

Fred1new - 04 Jan 2014 23:14 - 35096 of 81564

When is high tide?

dreamcatcher - 04 Jan 2014 23:21 - 35097 of 81564

When labour get swept out to sea. About 4 million people are paying the top rate of tax, more have been caught in the net. Going to be a possible big vote grabber.
