Galleon Holdings (GON)

banjomick - 15 Jun 2004 08:48

INTELLIGENT INVESTING WITH BANJO,well sort of! (Ed-hmmmm-lol)

Galleon Holdings plc has three key divisions:Galleon Entertainment for entertainment type IP,Croco Worldwide for product IP,Phoenix for interactive TV services for broadcasters in China/South East Asia which includes Robot Information Technology (Lushy Assets ('Yunbo')) who are a wireless interactive platform service provider in China who will work alongside Phoenix to enable GON to hold on to a greater part of the generated revenue and so increase the profit margin......think that's the plan! :-)

This makes Galleon Holdings a 'One Stop Shop' to develop and complete new and existing IP's.

26th June 2008 Galleon – And Its 'Edgy' Strategy by Tom Bulford

It's a good job the Galleon covers all the points raised below, all in house!

CANNES - Whether it was Aardman's "Shaun the Sheep," the Beeb's "Skunk Fu" or Nelvana's scatological "Fartzilla," buyers were spoiled for choice at Mipcom Jr., which wrapped Sunday.

But with so many shows out there, securing a TV slot is an uphill battle -- and drawing decent fees out of broadcasters even harder -- as DIC Entertainment's Andy Heyward pointed out in a keynote speech about licensing.

Fellow keynote speaker Toper Taylor, whose Cookie Jar Entertainment is riding high with hit TV show "Doodlebops," agreed it's "hard to produce for the very modest license fees broadcasters pay" -- hence the need to think merchandising, homevid and Internet.

Of the 937 programs presented at this years MIPCOM, the property with the second highest number of requests was Amys Gang from Australias Ettamogah Ent. Groups. Third was Angus And Cheryl from Spains BRB Internactional, followed by Chaotic from 4Kids Ent. in the U.S. and Skunk Fu! From Cake Ent. in the U.K.

All looking very good indeed :-)

I like this bit relating to the Sony deal:

"As part of the launch of the property, 52x5-minute animated comedy episodes will be produced, including a music track in each episode. The episodes are set in an animated music venue called Apollos Pad where each character is the personification of a music genre."

This will do nicely:

Galleon Holdings PLC

I wonder what next week will produce? You would expect a slight drop off after all this positive movement but you never know!

banjomick - 19 Oct 2006 17:57 - 359 of 1609

going up! :-)

banjomick - 24 Oct 2006 19:39 - 360 of 1609

Well the SP has doubled in the last month and we have steadied out, more updates on Skunk Fu,Sony deal or Hoo Ha House and we will be off again....in my humbly opinion.

http://www.hoohahouse.com/hoohahousetv.html

The above is well worth a watch.....yes,watch!This is a different Galleon from times past methinks :-)

From the last Finals:

"Also in 2005, Galleon acquired the worldwide exploitation rights for `Hoo Ha
House', the pre-school property developed by Imagination. `Hoo Ha House' has
successfully been launched in the UK with a publishing programme. As part of
the publishing programme, 2,000 schools were sent books and activity packs as a
part of the launch of the first book in October 2005. By the end of 2006, 13
`Hoo Ha House' titles will be in market, building awareness with both parents
and children. On the back of this heavyweight publishing programme, the
property has also been developed as an animated TV series of 52 x 10 minutes
and is currently being considered by UK broadcasters, with early interest from
the US."

All coming together rather well........

banjomick - 01 Nov 2006 00:35 - 362 of 1609

Skunk Fu,Hoo Ha House and the Sony deal(which may be one of the platforms for Sokator 442)..........Even the Galleon can't fail to make a profit....can they :-)

All good fun.
