So much Spyware is downloaded as cookies and can come from the header adverts on many Websites. They not only have the effect of slowing your computer down they also can send back confidential information from your PC. We have had a dedicated thread on this subject before but if you are interested in the subject a great site is PestPatrol which is full of information on Trojan virus's and Spyware (Norton misses 90% most of these) The basic copy is free and will inform you if you have a problem but will not automatically remove them however it will provide you with manual removal instructions. The free program also blocks new Spyware from jamming up your system

The site also has a massive database on nearly all known Trojans and Adware and how to get rid of them.

Please note there is always a small risk in using any program that changes the system registry however some PC's are only running at 50% of the speed due to Spyware! It is getting so bad now that I have changed my Cookie control in Internet explore options to prompt so I can decide which ones I will accept. Since then my stock watch lists etc have run much faster.

Socrates - 26 Dec 2003 15:04 - 3520 of 23498

Hello Vasey
You'll have to take it off sometime you know.

Golddog - 26 Dec 2003 15:16 - 3521 of 23498

Vasey, I say! ;-)

Well i am truly looking bloated and fizzed out! (same as usual then!)

Ok bring on some more turkey and a glass of red.

Socrates - 27 Dec 2003 09:01 - 3522 of 23498

Good morning all. Definitely feeling under the weather today, severe cold causing coughs & sneezes but I will have to go out to brave the sales.

I feel very sad for all those out in Iran. It makes you remember that today is the first day of the rest of your life.

snoball - 27 Dec 2003 09:48 - 3523 of 23498

I got a book about a gourmet hit-man called, Eats Shoots and Leaves.
Visitors today, so more turkey being prepared. Yum. Good excuse to drink more wine.

((Ahhhhhhhh - Sits down and orders a glass of Cab' Sauv'))
I think I've seen and eaten enough pudding marinated in

Socrates - 29 Dec 2003 16:40 - 3537 of 23498

Good evening all, Socks is back from his days toil. Must have done something right WGG up 0.5p.

T_I_M
Was that three sandwiches you ate or three maggots?

I'll answer the question for you, there are no maggots in the Cafe food, we are far to picky with our Health and Safety rules and practices. Anything over 3 weeks old gets thrown out straight away.
