Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).
Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.
cheers GF.

i could show a picture of my cellar with 6/8" of water in it - rising water table rather than horizontal from the river - but my wines are high enough (of course!)

My Barrett was born in Hackney. I am tracing my family history. I use www.genes reunited.co.UK and www.ancestry.co.UK
I am currently looking at the surnames Follett and Lickfold

It is good having friends in high places.
The higher the better.
But more down to earth, problems solved.
Just wonder why Wavey Davey couldn't get on a horse with the rest of the hunts and chase the badger to ground?

interesting - and much more so than fossy's repetitive nonsenses ....
China offers to finance and build rail links to HS2
China has offered to invest in Britain’s railways for the first time by financing and building links to a new Birmingham station on the high-speed HS2 network, highlighting Beijing’s growing interest in investing in UK infrastructure

And that's on top of the power stations.
Is blighty so run down, skint and lacking in expertise that it has to go to other sovereign countries to finance and build it's infrastructure?

you can't have it all ways ..... ultimately, there's only so much money in the kitty, so unless you think the country can or should borrow and borrow and borrow - some think that way - then this is arguably a good alternative, always assuming you want to spend money on major infrastructure projects

It will be interesting to watch you pal Wavey Davey flog out the UK infrastructure to the Chinese.
Will be nice to be a Chinese colony.
I wonder where tax will be paid.
Will it be in the UK, the Cayman Isles, or China..

Perhaps, we could stop some from avoiding taxation.
Of course the benefits of "legal" avoiding, can be used to pull the strings of the puppets in charge from a distant field.
But it is good economic theory!
