THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Only Frenchies would do that LOL.

i could show a picture of my cellar with 6/8" of water in it - rising water table rather than horizontal from the river - but my wines are high enough (of course!)

goldfinger

Its a pleasure to share them with you and the other poster's on here.

It's a bit like that film " THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW " what's happening in America.

Hay's

Tom Barrett, what area? . South east London , Walworth. near to East street market.

Haystack - 08 Jan 2014 11:21 - 35259 of 81564

My Barrett was born in Hackney. I am tracing my family history. I use www.genes reunited.co.UK and www.ancestry.co.UK

I am currently looking at the surnames Follett and Lickfold

aldwickk - 08 Jan 2014 11:36 - 35260 of 81564

hays

That was the area [S E London] his Father lived until he died aged 96 , he was born in 1866 or there abouts, He had 4 sons i think . Follett and Lickfold don't ring a bell

Haystack - 08 Jan 2014 12:45 - 35261 of 81564

The Barrett was married to a Hayes

Fred1new - 08 Jan 2014 15:37 - 35262 of 81564

It is good having friends in high places.

The higher the better.

But more down to earth, problems solved.

Just wonder why Wavey Davey couldn't get on a horse with the rest of the hunts and chase the badger to ground?

cynic - 08 Jan 2014 21:04 - 35263 of 81564

interesting - and much more so than fossy's repetitive nonsenses ....

China offers to finance and build rail links to HS2
China has offered to invest in Britain’s railways for the first time by financing and building links to a new Birmingham station on the high-speed HS2 network, highlighting Beijing’s growing interest in investing in UK infrastructure

MaxK - 08 Jan 2014 21:23 - 35264 of 81564

And that's on top of the power stations.

Is blighty so run down, skint and lacking in expertise that it has to go to other sovereign countries to finance and build it's infrastructure?

cynic - 08 Jan 2014 21:52 - 35265 of 81564

you can't have it all ways ..... ultimately, there's only so much money in the kitty, so unless you think the country can or should borrow and borrow and borrow - some think that way - then this is arguably a good alternative, always assuming you want to spend money on major infrastructure projects

Fred1new - 08 Jan 2014 22:04 - 35266 of 81564

It will be interesting to watch you pal Wavey Davey flog out the UK infrastructure to the Chinese.

Will be nice to be a Chinese colony.

I wonder where tax will be paid.

Will it be in the UK, the Cayman Isles, or China..

Fred1new - 08 Jan 2014 22:09 - 35267 of 81564

Perhaps, we could stop some from avoiding taxation.

Of course the benefits of "legal" avoiding, can be used to pull the strings of the puppets in charge from a distant field.

But it is good economic theory!

Fred1new - 08 Jan 2014 22:41 - 35268 of 81564

Good to see Cameron ducking and weaving and trying to avoid The Salmon at PMQ.

He trying to find somewhere else to hide as he leads his "troops" from the bunkers of No 10.

Heard Fauxpage is on the hunt for him.

He will hunt him here, and he will hunt him there.

The leader will just disappear.

LLLLLLL

Did you have pay them for that report?

There will be a bye election shortly.

The results may make interesting reading ^or V.

MaxK - 08 Jan 2014 23:45 - 35271 of 81564

cynic.

What is call me dave doing when he invites the Chinese/frogs uncle tom cobbly an all into the infrastructure "investment" game?

He does not need to do any of that, he can instruct the BoE to issue more money to fund the nu power stations, after all, the BoE has form...think banks.

He is, simply, doing his bosses bidding (and the other turds before him done the same)

Time to stop imo.
