Does anyone know why is it taking so long to get farm in contracts? Des has been working on these contracts for so long subject to the data and now the data has been analysed you'd think a contract would have been arranged by now. Anyone know anything or the timescales involved (I know I am very impatient! I have been holding these for years but what worries me also, and I may have misunderstood the Annual Report last time, but don't the rights over the field expire on a certain date which isn't far off?)

robstuff, if the rights on the field expire we better get some more shares, cose the real jump will happen when the contract is announced, if that is on a timer, the negotiations will be frantic,

Hi all
Well it's always disapointing when your stock goes down. The good news is applying fibanacci retacment to DES With an all time low of 0.064p & the recent high of 0.695p. The support level is at 0.45p. The resistance level is at 0.54p. After the 0.54p level, the next resistance is 0.70p. So we just need to go over the 0.54 / 0.55p level. DES will then sail the extra 0.15p, which will then set up new support area at 0.70p.
Good Luck All

Repsol-YPF surveying Malvinas Basin.
Repsol-YPF CEO Antonio Brufau revealed Thursday in Buenos Aires that the company is involved in seismic surveying in the Malvinas Basin, a geological high risk operation, but if successful will mean the incorporation of a new oil province for Argentina.
CEO Mr. A. Brufau
During the launching of the 2005 Argentine Tourism Guide sponsored by the Spanish oil consortium Mr. Brufau said that Argentina was far more than a market; Repsol-YPF has a strong and sincere commitment with investments of a billion US dollars annually until 2007.
Were engaged in an ambitious petroleum exploration plan in several basins, including the south seas with a seismic vessel surveying the Malvinas basin, a high risk geological project which if successful could mean the incorporation of a new basin, something that hasnt happened in Argentina for decades, underlined Mr. Brufau.
Repsol-YPF CEO also recalled that the company was Argentinas main investor, main tax payer, main exporter and one of the leading employers in the country.
Our long term alliance with Argentina means 75% of investments are targeted for exploration and production; 20% for refinery improvements and 5% in the chemical industry, added Mr. Brufau.
We are therefore very alert and perceptive to all opportunities and growth needs as well as improvements registered in the countrys performance.
Further on Mr. Brufau said that the company so far this year had paid national and provincial taxes equivalent to 3,9 billion US dollars, 70% over 2003.
Repsol-YPF will have exported at the end of the year, 2,7 billion US dollars in oil products processed in local refineries with Argentine labour and Argentine know-how.
Finally Mr. Brufau said he was surprised with the insistence of a few people who keep asking him if he has confidence in Argentina.
Why shouldnt I? Argentina is a country full of possibilities and our company is closely linked to its progress.

how do you know that bowman? I think an announcement is imminent and will be a farm in from one of the majors or possibly many companies (announced at the same time) which will propell this share sky high

Hi all
Well looking at the candles the resistance was at 0.55p as I said on my last post. Now we have gone through this 0.55p area I don't see any resistance untill 0.69/0.70p area. Looking at the MACD it has only just started to rise, so all being well it should continue. Even without the news, DES has been in an up trend, so there is no reason why it won't continue. Looking at the 10 day moving average DES has been close to it since the last big rise. Des is now above the 10 DMA which is also a good indication of its direction. The 0.55p which was resistance should now be the new support level. Only bad news would cause a sudden drop. Corrections may be within half of the rise which is now in progress. Other good indicators are DES has now move through its 5 year high of 0.55p. Good news may be ready to break. Let the trend be your friend, as I once read. A stop loss may be a good idea!
Any one any thoughts please!
Good Luck All
