THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

typical fossy ..... totally unwilling to answer a question of any kind
as i've said before, you're nowt but a pompous and supercilious charlatan who just likes to play very silly games, but doesn't much care for it when the ball gets batted back

============

max - i almost certainly agree that we shouldn't have got into afghanistan shambles in the first place, those i accept that there were many reasons for so doing

$11,600 per capita wouldn't have gone far would it, ewven if it had reached the intended recipients, of which of course there would have been no chance

i don't like the arms trade, even the legit side of it, but at least it provides an awful lot of employment - as of course does the tobacco industry, which probably contributes even more deaths than the arms trade

For Manuel.

The Moving Finger writes; and, having writ,
Moves on: nor all thy Piety nor Wit,
Shall lure it back to cancel half a Line,

cynic - 12 Jan 2014 20:06 - 35341 of 81564

i suppose you can recite the rubaiyat from heart .... even if you can, it makes you no less of a pompous and supercilious charlatan .... all gob sums you up even more briefly

Fred1new - 12 Jan 2014 20:10 - 35342 of 81564

LOL.

I hope your trousers are buttoned up!

cynic - 12 Jan 2014 20:34 - 35343 of 81564

you really are so full of self-importance, and though i know you lay on much of it for effect, you are just dull and justly given the sobriquet of fossy

perhaps most fitting for your grave (may it not long delay) .....

Fred's but a walking shadow, a poor player
That struts and frets his hour upon the stage
And then is heard no more: it is a tale
Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury,
Signifying nothing.

MaxK - 12 Jan 2014 21:42 - 35344 of 81564

Now now girls :-)

Fred1new - 12 Jan 2014 21:47 - 35345 of 81564

Strange the Characters you chose.

Mine was Jaques.

=-=-=-=

All the world's a stage,
And all the men and women merely players:
They have their exits and their entrances;
And one man in his time plays many parts,
His acts being seven ages.

-=-=-=-=-==-

That ends this strange eventful history,
Is second childishness and mere oblivion,
Sans teeth, sans eyes, sans taste, sans everything.

Which age are you in?

goldfinger - 12 Jan 2014 22:00 - 35346 of 81564

Labour lead increases........

UK - YouGov/Sunday Times poll:

LAB 40%
CON 31%
UKIP 14%
LDEM 9%

cynic - 13 Jan 2014 08:17 - 35347 of 81564

out, damned fossy! out, I say! :-)

Fred1new - 13 Jan 2014 09:57 - 35349 of 81564

For the Ukippers and BCR.

Fred1new - 13 Jan 2014 10:11 - 35350 of 81564

Just viewed Blair on TV.

What will he do for another buck?

Fred1new - 13 Jan 2014 10:20 - 35351 of 81564

For the Little Englanders and UKIPPERS.

Fred1new - 13 Jan 2014 10:31 - 35352 of 81564

GF,

Just in case Hays missed the Poll.

The figures seem quite good figures.

Labour lead increases........

UK - YouGov/Sunday Times poll:

LAB 40%
CON 31%
UKIP 14%
LDEM 9%

cynic - 13 Jan 2014 10:43 - 35353 of 81564

at least those numbers are prob quite reliable - i.e. ex ST

immigration benefits
no earthly point in asking fossy for his opinion, because you'll never get an answer ....

however, from a number of articles that i have read, there is significant support from a number of the more important eu members for a complete overhaul of this "benefits for immigrants" system

i also noticed that apparently the german constitution and courts allows germany to reject domestically any eu directives that are deemed not be in the country's interests

Haystack - 13 Jan 2014 10:44 - 35354 of 81564

The conservative polling figure stays at about 31%/32%. The others change almost daily. Labour's rise is at the expense of Libs and UKIP.

cynic - 13 Jan 2014 11:04 - 35355 of 81564

however, unless i'm much mistaken, if 40% is reflected across the country at an election, then that party gets an overall majority

=================

btw, an interesting article in ST yesterday re the boss of howdens being seriously harrassed by members of unite in his home town and outside his house .... apparently howdens want to move their distribution form A to B which means some DHL drivers at the current location will lose their jobs - or along those lines
the disturbing part is that macclusky is encouraging his members to act in this way (surprise surprise; let's have the flying pickets back!) but em says absolutely zero (no surprise, no surprise) ..... one assumes em is worried about upsetting one of his major paymasters

MaxK - 13 Jan 2014 11:10 - 35356 of 81564

I wouldn't have thought Old Lab would gain much in the way of support from UKippers.

goldfinger - 13 Jan 2014 15:18 - 35357 of 81564

Cyners, you missed out big time on AVAP.

I told you so.

cynic - 13 Jan 2014 15:43 - 35358 of 81564

quite possibly or even probably, but it is a rash man who chases every damn thing, especially as i am no day trader, nor wish to be one :-)

anyway, am more than happy with EZJ and TCG, both of which i already hold

btw, did you ever buy RTN or FXT like i'm sure i suggested?
merely a question, with no side - promise :-)
