Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).
Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.
cheers GF.

GF,
Just in case Hays missed the Poll.
The figures seem quite good figures.
Labour lead increases........
UK - YouGov/Sunday Times poll:
LAB 40%
CON 31%
UKIP 14%
LDEM 9%

at least those numbers are prob quite reliable - i.e. ex ST
immigration benefits
no earthly point in asking fossy for his opinion, because you'll never get an answer ....
however, from a number of articles that i have read, there is significant support from a number of the more important eu members for a complete overhaul of this "benefits for immigrants" system
i also noticed that apparently the german constitution and courts allows germany to reject domestically any eu directives that are deemed not be in the country's interests

The conservative polling figure stays at about 31%/32%. The others change almost daily. Labour's rise is at the expense of Libs and UKIP.

however, unless i'm much mistaken, if 40% is reflected across the country at an election, then that party gets an overall majority
=================
btw, an interesting article in ST yesterday re the boss of howdens being seriously harrassed by members of unite in his home town and outside his house .... apparently howdens want to move their distribution form A to B which means some DHL drivers at the current location will lose their jobs - or along those lines
the disturbing part is that macclusky is encouraging his members to act in this way (surprise surprise; let's have the flying pickets back!) but em says absolutely zero (no surprise, no surprise) ..... one assumes em is worried about upsetting one of his major paymasters

I wouldn't have thought Old Lab would gain much in the way of support from UKippers.

quite possibly or even probably, but it is a rash man who chases every damn thing, especially as i am no day trader, nor wish to be one :-)
anyway, am more than happy with EZJ and TCG, both of which i already hold
btw, did you ever buy RTN or FXT like i'm sure i suggested?
merely a question, with no side - promise :-)

yes, AVAP does look interesting having just burst into new all-time high ground, but like i said, it's a rash man who chases every recommendation - and both RTN and FXT have and continue to do me very nicely .... as does BLNX come to think of it

Bad news for you. Guardian for tomorrow morning
http://www.theguardian.com/politics/2014/jan/13/support-labour-shrinks-economic-recovery-icm-poll
Support for Labour shrinks as faith in recovery grows, ICM poll finds
Labour drops two points to 35% - three points ahead of Tories – as more people express optimism about their financial position
Support for Labour is sinking as faith in the UK's economic recovery builds, according to a new Guardian/ICM poll.
Ed Miliband's party drops two points on the month to stand at 35%, which is just three points ahead of David Cameron's Conservatives, who stand still on 32%. Labour's lead in the Guardian's respected 30-year polling series is thus squeezed to three percentage points, down from five last month and eight points in November.
The Liberal Democrats climb two, to reach 14%, and Ukip edges up one, to stand at 10%.
The scores of both the main government and opposition parties are now back to where they were last August, before Miliband's popular conference promise to freeze domestic fuel bills.
The economic news since has mostly been positive since, with falling inflation as well as unemployment, which could reduce the resonance of Labour's "cost of living crisis" pitch.
