Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).
Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.
cheers GF.

this is the headline, but the article is worth reading in its own right .... if you're one of the rabid from either side, it won't make much difference

35368 - the trouble with that ICM poll (in the grauniad) is that a mere 1005 people were polled, so all in all, just as meaningless as all other such polls ..... however, if that sort of result is produced consistently, then it certainly indicates that labour is losing its grip, not that it was ever very convincing

on balance, i am in favour of fracking - and yes i do have a little more vicarious knowledge in that field than most of the idiot rent-a-mob
from what i can see in dorset - i forget the precise site (wych farm?) - with proper care and attention, these sites do not intrude on the countryside, very much unlike those accursed turbines

BBC
The UK inflation rate as measured by the Consumer Prices Index (CPI) fell to 2% in December from 2.1% the month before, according to the Office for National Statistics (ONS).
It is the first time since November 2009 that inflation has been at or below the 2% target set by the government.
The ONS said the change was caused by a slowdown in the increase of fruit and meat prices.

I see Miliband sees that he has lost the argument over living standards and has now switched his attention to the plight of the middle classes from today. Labour has tried the double dip scare - didn't happen, falling economy - didn't happen, rising unemployment - didn't happen, crashing GDP - didn't happen, living standards crisis - living standards rising, benefits cuts unpopular - benefits cuts popular, immigration not a problem - Labour say sorry for increasing immigration and the public find it is a problem.
There does seem to be a trend here. Every time Miliband and co pick an area of policy and life to whine about they are proved completely wrong. It must be so depressing for him.
Now he has picked the middle classes to stroke and cuddle. It can't be long before the middle class bite him.

I would think Miliband will be examining other con party failures and their constant inconsistent U-turns. He has never struck me as a one bullet gun, like some of the loonier right winged extremist within the membership of the tory party.
I expect he will return to the increased "inequalities" of "diminished rewards for work" and increasing "fragmentation" of "society" produced under coalition under a party of tory cons, as it moves more and more to the "fascist" right of politics to appease the BNP and UKIPPERS led by Fauxpage and fellow admirers.
The middle classes are not all fools and in 18 months time many of the of the effects of the slashing of the Social services and other austerity messages will being hitting home.
Their "children" coming out of Universities with a £30,000-£50,000 price tag around their necks and no affordable housing other than Mummy's and/or Daddy's.
I have copied your post and at the time of the next election will re-read it.
I still think the likely outcome of the next Gen Election will be a Labour/Lib/Dem coalition, which will appeal to the majority of voters.

i suspect milliband will do pretty much what his paymasters - the militant trades union leaders like mccluskey - tell him
thus, assuming he is a decent enough chap at heart, it would explain why his silence was deafening on the appalling harassment of howdens CEO

It is interesting watching Hollander's speech now on SKY. He is speaking in the same platitudes that Miliband is famous for. France's economy is heading in exactly the opposite to ours. This what a socialist government gets you.

You are living in the past like other reactionaries.
I don't suppose your strings are being pulled from the Cayman Isles.
Personally, prefer a barge pole do deal with you.
Perhaps, the overseas tax avoiders and evaders are not supporting and/or paying for tory propaganda machine.
