The Other Kevin.
Refer Moneylender's post 347. He says an article came out in today's Share Whisper mag. Sounds like it was a copycat article based on the Express's article which probably was based on the BB's or such. My guess only though.
However, media exposure is what we need. Seems like interest is perhaps starting to pick up.
Could next week be the week?????

from TT on another bb
guess we are all hearing that the US Telecom details are now agreed and we
can expect some news at any time between now and Monday morning - yes it's
MCI .... I think this should be rnsable and will stir the tads army into
action but even more exciting is some new news or should that be rumour
which almost makes you want to wet yourself with excitement - if you are a
shareholder of course -:)).. many of you will know I talk to a lot of people
in the States and someone close to one of the biggest names - maybe the
biggest :-)) is talking of a deal that will put ETI on the map - think of
gamers and the need for secure downloads - think of 50 cents or so for each
download - think of million and milllion of downloads - I hear 25 million a
year ..... wow.
Timing wise - think about the fact that I hold more tads shares than ever
before .. . we often talk of risk/reward ... I am thinking a 100 cap before
the end of the month - maybe before the interims. Anyone who sells now will
live to regret it very very quickly - we are about to move into a different
game. lol

Hi guys just got in, working late!
I did not read it this morning but I am lead to believe it was in the Express again.
But more importantly is TT's comment that Madasafish has posted above.
If he is right and I must admit his info has been very accurate most of the time, even if his timing is slightly out, then this will be a blockbuster for TAD. Games are massive and if we have the vehicle that can deliver them securly on a pay per play deal then whoooooooooooooosh

Ian
"In an effort to stamp out multiple usernames and people re registering when they have previously been banned, I am afraid that I have had to remove freedom's access as we had previously banned this user last May.
You will also notice that Sequestor and Charmed one have been excluded from the site and we will continue to be vigilant."
Without you divulging trade secrets, would you be able to explain to a phillistine like me, how your software works in identifiying users that attempt to re-register upon being banned.
I am merely curious.
Best rgds and TIA.

Beau; I think we have mentioned the very simple items we check on, other matters however form part of our security protocol and structure so really can't comment on.
What I can say however is that the telco , ISP and web industry work very closely and help each other in helping to stamp out web abuse. If we have a problem the others rally round etc.

If TT's information is correct, then this would revolutionise the delivery of games to PCs. So much so it would give PC gamers a huge competitive advantage against specialist games machines (X box I discount as sales figures are SO bad - I saw them, can't remember but 1/10th of PS2 is the the order of magnitude)
The ability to download a game on a trial basis before you buy would significantly affect the sales of specialist games sellers and increase sales of good games. It would also mean that discerning buyers would be able to avoid poor games so a double edged sword for the games industry.
Catalogue sellers of volume software would I imagine also be affected as would probably software piracy if security was good enough..
Could long term change how volume software is sold.... Interesting for the industry. I would imagine could provide very large revenues for Tadpole - most importantly on an ONGOING basis if sold on a "cost per download" basis as suggested.

Madafish - I agree (assuming TT is correct). I remember a short article in the Evening Standard about a year ago in which Tad's anti-piracy software was being hailed as a major breakthrough. I was wondering recently whether I had imagined the article as nothing had occurred since!

in order to impliment s/w on to a games platform you need a license from the hardware manufacturer (abs. no way around this). I would be amazed, in fact astounded, if Tad had even spoken to these manufacturers.
Downloading demos!! you can already do this - check out ANY of the games sites.
I think your opinions above are, to say the least, misleading!!!

rjs - presumably the possibility of downloading the whole game (not just a demo) is rather more appealing to players - subject to timed invalidity and non-replication capabilities built into the software. I don't think Madafish was suggesting a fundamental shift in dowloading beyond those features but I ought to let him defend himself.

I was talking about fully functional games. On a PC platform. I quote "this would revolutionise the delivery of games to PCs"
Nowhere do I say TAD is downloading to a games machine.. so how can I mislead?
I am sorry rjs misread me but my intention was not to do so....

So it did appear then, even slightly larger than I forcast this
morning. Well I dont know what is going on, but it does make me wonder if the 900k wasn't a buy as well. Either way it paves the way for a good start on Monday.
So remember get up early Monday or you might miss some of the action. LOL

You and your getting up early, mind you it has been worth it this week, I don't mind get up early every day if we have a 10% rise every week.
