now i'm confused Karl !

Can i or can i not buy a stock for max then a few minutes later
buy some more thus paying dealing costs on each trade as you
would do with a online account ?

IanT(MoneyAM) - 24 Oct 2005 08:55 - 357 of 550

mackem,

essentially, you can buy up to NMS and then a few minutes later buy more if you want, but as you say, you will have to pay the dealing costs and it may take you a little while to close the position as you will have to sell seperately,

Must say that the new rules have focussed me on just how small some of the NMS are - For example JCR which I was hoping to buy.

SEADOG - 24 Oct 2005 09:14 - 363 of 550

Ian,
OK now, but view position summary is showing 20 for commission..........SD

IanT(MoneyAM) - 24 Oct 2005 09:51 - 368 of 550

Seadog,

see the note below the position summary - it shows what will be the eventual commission when you have closed the position,

'Please Note that "Open" positions will show the cash profit based on closing the position at the
current price as show in the "My Account" section including all charges (commission and stamp duty).
All prices are 15 minutes delayed.'
