Wow, first post of the new year goes to Socco. Obviously well deserved.

Good morning all, here is today's health report.

Socco is suffering from a severe cold, such that he went to bed last year and slept until this year. Any celebrations were out of the question. Has he made any resolutions? "Her-indoors" speaking for her husband said "When he is well enough, I will tell him what his resolutions are"!

Golddog
Courtesy of a national newspaper, are you older Budweiser!

vasey - 01 Jan 2004 10:12 - 3571 of 23498

Good morning everybody and a Very Happy New Year to all Cafettes, lurkers and posters.

Poor Socs. I've found a recipe for a hot toddy that will improve your spirits. Based on Irish whiskey and lemon. I do hope you start feeling better soon, Socs.

stockbunny - 01 Jan 2004 10:22 - 3572 of 23498

Oh Boy it looks like there was a big party in here last night!!
Spam sarnies, buckets of trifle, pork scratchings and Bonios
all over the floor along with the empty bottles and 'dead'
balloons and streamers...

Happy New Year One and All
It's going to be a good one - never mind flying pigs
take a look at that galloping bull on the horizon!!!!
Wonderful sight - majestic and powerful beast, stampeding
down the hill, knocking bears left and right...
AHHHHHHHH..And (oh doggie-dooes..)heading straight for
yup...the Tea-Rooms!!!!

Socrates - 01 Jan 2004 10:54 - 3573 of 23498

Vasey

stockbunny - 01 Jan 2004 11:13 - 3574 of 23498

hello Sockies........

Socrates - 01 Jan 2004 11:18 - 3575 of 23498

Hello Bunny!

stockbunny - 01 Jan 2004 11:28 - 3576 of 23498

Easiest way to remove a cold/flu..
Whatever hot beverage you usually drink, either tea or coffee
put a generous swig of good booze in every cup - I recommend brandy
personally but choice is yours. Works wonders and at worst
will induce the best thing for you when unwell - sleep!!!
Feel better soon Sockies!

Oh just noticed Little Woman out of top in the game
Good on You LW!!! Come on Vasey we are missing you in
the top 5 now and we want you back!!

stockbunny - 01 Jan 2004 11:45 - 3577 of 23498

Bunny got to go & do some work now, so will see
you all tomorrow when the normal trading will resume
or to be more precise The Great Bun Fight of 2004

'game' too seriously after all it's only money!!!!

May I wish you all a happy New Year with lots of good fortune, and look forward to many more of your witty exchanges in the 'cafe'

Socrates - 01 Jan 2004 21:24 - 3584 of 23498

Optomistic
Xanthippe was the wife of Socrates, he lived a bit longer ago than I, and died from a dose of hemlock. Self administered on the grounds that he had been sentenced to death.

Here endeth the classics lesson.

Vasey
I'm not too sick to open the bubbly!

vasey - 01 Jan 2004 21:25 - 3585 of 23498

Thank goodness it's not serious then, Socks!
