Story of my life, out for 10 then it dropes 40

mg - 03 Mar 2005 14:23 - 3571 of 11056

Come back Hilary - it's a tough market and it'd be interesting to see how you are playing it.

For me I'll pretend I'm a mos type city type and say I've been "jobbing" it - taking crumbs from the table is probably more like the truth for me. Made a few points up and down today. Following fairly strict rules - on relatively small stakes - to see how I do. It's working so far. Next step is going large again !!

I'm assured a place in heaven if I go all reflective and consiliatory (sp?).

I'm taking Holy Orders next week - to see if it helps my FX trading ;)

mostrader - 03 Mar 2005 14:38 - 3572 of 11056

ha mg yep been jobbing it i rarely post on here anymore,no real reason, just focused on my trading a bit more.
so hilary its obvious you read the thread each day..so like mg says..
why dont u come back and start posting again..

Mega Bucks - 03 Mar 2005 14:43 - 3573 of 11056

come on hils, start posting again we need your words of wisdom :-))

mg - 03 Mar 2005 14:52 - 3574 of 11056

Hils
By taking Holy Orders - I mean I'm prepared for the necessary cuts - wearing of Ruth's discarded garments etc. etc.

Only other thing I can think of to get you back in here is to promise things that might not - necessarily - give you what you need - know what I mean, nudge, nudge, wink, wink ................. oops, am I at risk of missong out on the celibacy rule ;)

C'mon baaaaaby - show me yours and I'll show you mine (maybe not a very good incentive - but it's worth a go)

mg,

Forget about the tales of Asian CB's supposedly rushing to the EUR/USD bid at 1.3120 to stop it breaking down. There's only one side of the market to be atm - long greenback, against all the European majors.

mg - 03 Mar 2005 15:19 - 3576 of 11056

Serious Point !!
Been away from the fray for a fair few days - and only back for today. I decided to be ruthless in the way I approqched the market. No tears over losses - conservative over gains. Reality is that I was always going for the "BIG ONE" - today I was happy with 10, ecstatic with 20 and unmoveable when it was -10 and/or -20. It's worked a treat. So net about +50 but I find myself really comfortable on the trades - big difference from the ALL OR NOTHING approach I have been adopting for a while.

Could be very interesting moving forward.

mostrader - 03 Mar 2005 15:33 - 3577 of 11056

hilary - 03 Mar 2005 15:51 - 3580 of 11056

14:50 AUD/USD: Decline Continues, AUD/NZD Selling Noted] New York, March 3:
Aussie is still on the defensive after the market easily rejected the rally to
0.7850 today and cross selling is heating up. AUD/NZD has fallen to a 6-week low
at 1.0739 and there is talk that large stops below 1.0720 could trogger a fall
to 1.0650. Prices are hovering just above the session low and awaiting the next
batch of supply.
Aussie for its part fell to 0.7825 as the early morning exuberance has been
replaced by a more somber mood after the pullback. Bids are noted at 0.7820 and
0.7800, but a fall below the latter will bring central bank bids into play. The
weak data should continue to weigh on prices and copper prices look like they
are getting tired after a strong rally. Look for Aussie to slide further and
make a major decision on future direction near 0.7720/30.
