Time now for all us Wiggins watchers to move with the times and start using Planestation, the new company identity. The name Wiggins Group plc has now disappeared from the database at Companies House and Planestation is now listed on the LSE website.
So fellow travellers, forget Wiggins, the name of the game is now PLANESTATION. Lets hope it goes like an express train.

Todays shares mag article:
Planestation (PTG) shareholder action group PSsilentmajority claims it is close to calling an extraordinary general meeting to reinstate former chief executive Oliver Iny.
The group formed after Iny was ousted by institutional shareholders, needs to have 10% of the companys shares registered with it to hold an EGM and representative Stephen Lock says this is near to being secured.
Despite his unpopularity with the City PSsilentmajority claims Iny is the best man to run the airport operator because of his "vision for a new way to travel".
The group is concerned by the appointment of new chief Martin May because he has "no experience of airports or aviation" and fears he plans to break up the company.
May who is credited with turning around Cape (CIU) of which he is now chairman, is to hold the position until the end of 2004 and is carrying out a corporate review.
"We want to play to our strengths and not spread ourselves too thinly" explains Christopher Foster, director of Planestation. "We are trying to run too many airports and we will want to concentrate on the main airports"
Planestation refused to comment on PSsilentmajority's concerns.
"They dont think there's anything to say" says a spokesperson for the company. "The action group is concerned they'll be shutting down Manston but (there are no plans to do this) and Martin is just doing a review of the operations"
Shares have fallen 22% to 4.5p since Mays appointment

It was interesting that it was written by Piper Terrett & not Tim Freebourne.
Come on Tim, what have you got to say about it?

Looks like a good price to top up next week.
As Fundamentalist said there are several things happening in the next few weeks.
I think that the price is only where it is because of the uncertainty.

Some hot news from Manston just arrived from my spy on the ground is that the terminal restaurant is closing in a day or so. It will be closed for alterations for some weeks and will re-open more oriented towards snacks and tiffin rather than full meals. This news will upset some locals who like to pop in for lunch and watch the aircraft load/unload during their meal.
Still, that's progress, I surmise that the facility will be smaller and the space saved will be utilised for other purposes. The airline will want offices for some personnel, there has been no mention of where they will be located so far.

Someone told me that PTG shares are going to take off by 12th may.
When asked why, all he would say is that he read it in the tealeaves.
Probably knows nothing more than we do but we shall see.

I shall miss the old restaurant, Pieter who ran it looked after it well and served up a great Cumberland Sausage in onion gravy. I'm told by locals that there will only be a snack bar when the alterations are finished. Shame, but for the moment the space is probably needed for the arrivals/departures.

How local are you to the airport if you have been enjoying such cuisine??
I live in Ramsgate and frequent the spitfire memorial cafe (very nice indeed)

You can see from my profile that I live in Cheltenham, full face I look more like Walls End! I lived in Thanet for about 30 of my formative years and go back regularly to visit relatives. Manston is always on my visit list and my relatives and correspondents keep me informed too.
I'm very much afraid that you have missed any chance of the Cumberland Sausage that gave Golddog such mirth. The Spitfire Cafe is quite nice too though. Many a happy hour I have spent watching the aircraft come and go through my bin's whilst sat at an outside table.

Socrates, thought I'd pop back to visit you, the other site at present is extremely depressing. Scru although has thrown a little more light with his revelations that make interesting reading. I do respect his vast knowledge and was totally impressed in his approach to the Board at 2003's AGM during question time.
Have been invited to a Top Table at Marham next week, one of my past Chf's has been promoted to WO, should be a cracking function.
