As well as the Wimbledon Mens Final (fantastic!), don't let's forget Lewis Hamilton winning the F1 British Grand Prix (fantastic!) and the Tour de France starting off at the weekend up in Yorkshire (also fantastic!).

Surprised Goldfinger hasn't mentioned any of these on his 'Talk to Yourself' thread.

Personally speaking, I didn't know which was the best to watch so managed to switch channels, use my SkyPlus and catch a bit of everything.

The whole weekend sport thing was incredible!!!!!!

Anyhow, back to the footie....What chance Brazil now?

AMAZING........ on a day set aside for Premiership Clubs revealing their new seasons football kits Manchester United are the last but not least to present theirs to the awaiting press and public and what a shock they were in for.

see below............

United fans are still awaiting comment from a member of the management team.

One fan we interviewed Derrick Winterbottom commented " its a huge shock, I dont know how this will go down with the majority of fans, but personaly im gob smacked".

And what about this, which hasn't yet been retracted:

5 December 2013

Vice chairman of General Motors announces that the Chevrolet brand will be pulled from Europe by the end of 2015 in order to focus on Opel and Vauxhall.

United announced a seven-year sponsorship agreement with the U.S. auto maker, reportedly worth about $559 million total, in 2012. The team previously was sponsored by Aon, an insurance company that is headquartered in London. Manchester United said it will receive $70 million during the first year of the Chevrolet deal.

Ironically, General Motors announced last year that it will stop selling new Chevrolets in Europe by the end of 2015 in order to focus on reviving the Opel brand. The company’s Chevrolet sales in Europe historically have been low. Nevertheless, the team’s global reach makes the sponsorship deal a no-brainer for Manchester United and its owners, the Glazer family of the United States.

“We always looked at Man U as a global deal,” GM Vice Chairman Steve Girsky said in December. “They’re exposed around the world and Chevrolet will be exposed around the world.”

The Red Devils sorry, Orange Devils, will unveil their new uniforms on the field for the first time on July 23, when they take on the Los Angeles Galaxy in a friendly at the Rose Bowl.

I always mix him up with Boy George....(ps he's put together a good new band)...anyway I think that the Germans are going to get goals in this game.....might finish 3-2 to Germany.....that sort of score....but with the Germans dominating most of the time with the Brazilians mounting counterattacks now and again....without Neymar...and their captain...very difficult...

Shame about Neymar, but the Brazilians were kicking Rodriguez (James) all the time ...in the end the Columbians took revenge in a terrible way.....that ref wants shooting...

Who would be a Brazilian tonight?

dreamcatcher - 08 Jul 2014 21:33 - 3605 of 6918

15-0 at this rate. lol

goldfinger - 08 Jul 2014 21:57 - 3606 of 6918

Brazil lost this game after the last match and realised Neymar was crocked.

Pity because its ruined a semi final.

Germany arent that good its just Brazil who were beaten before they touched the ball.

required field - 08 Jul 2014 23:17 - 3608 of 6918

I thought that Brazil would not win this world cup......they peaked a year earlier.....a bit like the all blacks do in rugby many a time.....they were as bad as the Germans were good....in fact that was a superb Germany performance....but that does not mean they will win the final......Neuer is the best player in the tournament !...(it is time a goalkeeper won the accolade !)...

ExecLine - 08 Jul 2014 23:41 - 3609 of 6918

Rubbish Germans! All those goals and not one player scored a hat trick!

Actually, I'm still not sure whether it was the Germans who were brilliant in their attack, which was quite relentless, or the Brazilians who were rubbish, particularly in defence. It was somewhat 'stand still' time after time.

The Brazilian goalkeeper hadn't let a goal in until this match but obviously the Germans 'came to bury Cesar not to praise him'. (Did I just say that?) They just walked around Brazil's defence and popped the goal into the net seven times.

Now there is 'luck under a seven'. Anyone going to put £7k on the Germans to win the World Cup? Well not me - nor £7 either.

I think Robben is the best player of the series and I reckon he will be taking home the World Cup. And the Holland team can score goals too. They beat Spain 5-1

Argentina have got Messi. Holland have got Robben.

Watch this space!

Stan - 08 Jul 2014 23:51 - 3610 of 6918

I fancied Germany to win from the start, and have seen nothing yet to change that opinion.
