BUGS - Report them here (BUGS)

zzaxx99 - 24 Jan 2003 09:02

The "number unread" column doesn't work. When you come back to the site (and log-in again) the number unread is being reset to the number of messages in the thread.

Also, though I can't put my finger on what the exact circumstances are, I'm havoing to log-in over and over again, which is really getting on my wick.

alecm - 28 Jan 2003 08:13 - 38 of 170

i must be going bonkers, cant see 'services' button anywhere.....

Something else needs sorting, Navigation.....Not too easy at first glance.....

Kayak - 28 Jan 2003 09:00 - 39 of 170

... and those who visit the home page still can't find it...

alecm, look under "Click here for our products".

SMHarman - 28 Jan 2003 11:38 - 41 of 170

There is a bug with 2p prices I posted it into the IDEA thread though.

Olddog - 28 Jan 2003 13:09 - 42 of 170

Looks like you have fixed the bug that asked me to log in if I opened a Market News article in a new window

Well done !

colsec - 28 Jan 2003 14:37 - 43 of 170

Unable to place in my portfolio

IsharesFTSE100.

Any reason for this?

Thanks

Felix(MoneyAM) - 28 Jan 2003 17:06 - 44 of 170

The '2p' bug is now fixed.
Anything you buy and sell in a transaction should be the EPIC code of a stock,
which "IsharesFTSE100" isn't. You can use 'UKX' to get the effect of buying the
FTSE index, but this is meaningless without an appropriate scaling factor, and
the system won't display a company name (because there isn't one).

Right, cracked my first problem (thanks for all the response and suggestions!) - it's happens (I think) when you click on the Investor's room, but you haven't yet logged in

Kayak - 28 Jan 2003 21:12 - 46 of 170

Presumably colsec was trying to add EPIC ISF rather than typing "IsharesFTSE100" into the box. I find I can add it, but strangely the name of the stock is not known. It should be "IsharesFTSE100", of course. Ishares are a special type of investment fund which track the indices they represent.

i tried to add another stock to my watchlits this is wot i got:

Teci - 29 Jan 2003 15:55 - 48 of 170

I have just had a job to get streaming prices at all although they were working earlier.

I also find that sometimes the prices freeze and leave you with a page that is not updating although you might not realise it at first.

Diogenes - 29 Jan 2003 16:17 - 49 of 170

Grey screen here: no stockwatch at all.

Teci - 29 Jan 2003 16:27 - 50 of 170

Yeah not working here now either.

zzaxx99 - 29 Jan 2003 16:43 - 51 of 170

Really, really, really hacked off with being repeatedly logged-out - is there a time limit on a connection or something?

teletiger - 29 Jan 2003 16:46 - 52 of 170

My streaming froze at 15.24 and nothing will shift it.

regards

porky - 29 Jan 2003 16:54 - 53 of 170

Same here unable to obtain streaming prices, and I subscribed yesterday, as I very impressed with the site, hope I haven`t wasted my money.
regards.

TullettJ (MoneyAM) - 29 Jan 2003 17:11 - 54 of 170

Hiya,

there was a small glitch with the streaming services which has now been resolved.

All logs and errors have been passed to the development team who are currently working on a permanent fix!

Sorry for the inconvenience caused...

J.

TullettJ (MoneyAM) - 29 Jan 2003 17:39 - 55 of 170

All,

A fix for the bug has been put in place, and the services reloaded, now *that* streaming bug should not happen again!

:)
