26.04.04 :+9, (59.5) an article in the Express (Sat) reports: the shares rose 8p to 50.5p on talk of new orders for its NinaSun canopy system project. Dealers reckon sales of the award-winning technology will take off next year.

why no chat comment about this share. i bought 25000 on 6.6.1999 at 26p at that jim slater had a substantial holding. the shares moved down over the years and i still have the shares which now show a substantial profit.
if i had sold yesterday my proceeds would have been higher than today.
why does a bell not ring to tell you the best time to sell?
incidently beware of joining jim slater on a share ship...as he can jump off leaving you on a sinking share. his repeated recommendations for mcalpine shares about two years ago has been a disaster
more information about caldwell please

No chat about this share because we didn't follow goldfinger's advice & buy it.
He was right about it & I was wrong.

if i recall correctly the shares rose sharply after the company reported that they had sold a small number of parasols to a hotel in south america. the name of the hotel was given and i attempted to track it down on the internet so i could try to have a chat with them . i anticipated that these might have been give aways as i had difficulty in seeing that far distant hotel needing to get the tackle from europe....or an executive could have been on holiday there and agreed the parasols ,with the magic fasterner, be sent.

Evil would not short this one as there insufficient shares available to recover a short position. At the recent lunch with some 18-19 brokers when Evil was present the consensus of opinion was that the shares should reach 150-175 by Feb 2005 dependant on production levels of the canopy reaching 200,000 plus.
The reasoning behind Brazil was discussed. After the US it has the largest number of swimming pools per head of population.

i bought a hefty chunk of caldwell shares 25000 @ 25p injune 1999 when jim slater was screaming as to their potential. needless to say for a long time i did not have any profits to woorry about.....until recently.
is jim slater still a substantial holder?
i see from company refs that about 50% of the shares are held by nominees

Thank you, bilbao, for your posting. Do you need actual shares to short them? Surely if you "sell" say 10k & then "buy" back 10k it cancels out? (I've never tried it myself!)

Jim Slater does not appear in a recent list of shareholders, unlikely for him to be in a nominee account.

There has been a lot of activity at Caldwell - brokers appointed - e-commerce sites operational - www.ninasun.co.uk - new orders - new director - press releases -and the price again seems to be moving in the right direction last time this happened they touched 80p will they now pass 100p?
