ASOS: BUY AT LOW PRICE!!!! (ASC)

wilco99 - 12 Sep 2003 15:52

ASOS have dropped quite significantly in the past week for no particular reason and I view this as the perfect opportunity to invest as I can see them bouncing right back up to the 5.50p mark in the next 2-3 weeks. STRONG BUY!!

Hey, not bad.,.

skinny - 14 Dec 2011 19:19 - 3630 of 5941

Yeah - that's better. As I said yesterday - not my sort of thing these days - too much like a "tech boom" chart - zero to hero to zero PDQ.

tomasz - 15 Dec 2011 08:31 - 3631 of 5941

there are few things wich could make no sense to buy asos now: first two: lll world war or euro brake up wich where second one could put liquidity in the system and growth back in the end and two others : sales slowing down dramatically or n robertson departure. neither of these happening and hopefully not happen at all..

cynic - 15 Dec 2011 08:48 - 3632 of 5941

perhaps we should be hanging knickers on the siegfried line then :-)

tomasz - 15 Dec 2011 09:00 - 3633 of 5941

if you still can manage... lol

tomasz - 10 Jan 2012 10:01 - 3634 of 5941

expectations building up nicely, still long way to get back but things just for now appear to back to normal in terms of price movement..

tomasz - 12 Jan 2012 11:40 - 3635 of 5941

its still low but you got to love that...12 , 13 , 14 , 15.. goes like hot knife thru the butter, or something...

cynic - 12 Jan 2012 12:04 - 3636 of 5941

for my sins, even i am having a little dabble ..... Quantum Leap (a pretty good tip sheet) lists ASC as one of its 12 naps for 2012 along with AAPL which i already hold

skinny - 12 Jan 2012 12:19 - 3637 of 5941

I guess its a bit like the bumble bee - by the laws of aero dynamics, it shouldn't be able to fly - but as long as the bee doesn't know - everything is fine!

Balerboy - 12 Jan 2012 12:21 - 3638 of 5941

Wish I'd had the funds to go in at £12 but bank said no!! This will climb to £20 before results come out

cynic - 12 Jan 2012 12:24 - 3639 of 5941

meant to mention that there's a trading update due on 19th

tomasz - 12 Jan 2012 16:13 - 3640 of 5941

every saint got history and every sinner got future

tomasz - 12 Jan 2012 20:40 - 3641 of 5941

and cyner got future in "asos long".. would you ever believe that... unreformable become reformable...

dreamcatcher - 14 Jan 2012 09:17 - 3642 of 5941

ASOS will follow up with an update on Thursday, and though it has seen steadily rising profits too, its share price has suffered a setback that Burberry has avoided. It rose to what many saw as a crazy price, but has fallen back by 40% from its peak of nearly £25 to today's £15. But that's still an end of year P/E of 40, so plenty more international growth is very much needed.

tomasz - 16 Jan 2012 09:33 - 3643 of 5941

sorry dc but that is rubbish article, nor value nor precision in it.

sp peak 2508 and fallen to 1124- not todays 15.p/e argument is brainless and doesn't matter also there is no international growth issue. the growth in fact can slow down dramaticaly to reflect the price today. business was priced almost correctly to growth when was around 25.

there is lot of rubbish articles out there

dreamcatcher - 16 Jan 2012 17:10 - 3644 of 5941

In todays express - Asos warns that its pre christmas performance was likely to be "challenging". Targeting 16 - 34 yr olds, demand for its goods is expected to be hit
by the soaring youth unemployment.
Seymour Pierce expects the group to report salesgrowth of 5 per cent in the three
months to the end of December, compared to an 8 per cent increase to £88.6 million
in the previous six months and a 23 per cent rise the year before that.

cynic - 16 Jan 2012 17:13 - 3645 of 5941

as DC said in 3642, uk growth is likely to be poor so big input required from overseas

tomasz - 16 Jan 2012 17:50 - 3646 of 5941

you have to do your homework more properly to say something wtch is really matter here..
uk growth story has been sorted, you should know that since April 11.its no longer important.international is more than enough.
i can see here poor approach.. jumping from one to another in anticipation of quick few pennies makes you knowing not really much about one.

cynic - 16 Jan 2012 17:52 - 3647 of 5941

i've certainly learnt not to read most of your ramblings!
so far, if you have posted accurately, you are nursing some thumping losses

tomasz - 16 Jan 2012 18:15 - 3648 of 5941

you got to be kiddin me!you learn a lot. served you well.:)
btw you appear to know more about my performance than Asos as a business you should refer to.lol, no surprise since you've been knocked down here few times.:)
anyway there will be a truck of money to made here again..
