Sefton Resources - a SCREAMING BUY at this price - small-cap oil producer (SER)

mjr1234 - 10 Nov 2005 12:44

This stock looks like the most undervalued oil company on the stock exchange. >
Sefton Resources epic SER. It is currently trading at a price of 0.275p valueing the whole company at just 4M.

You might look at the market cap and assume that this company is just an explorer or a shell, but in fact Sefton is producing over 6000 barrels of oil per month with a monthly revenue of over $300k. It's recent work on it's Tapia oilfield exceeded expectations, meaning the company hit it's 200BOPD target 5 months early, and is now expecting resource and production estimates to be further upgraded. This is before it embarks on a steam-assisted programme early next year which
could see production rates multiplied 2-4 times! It is also looking at drilling further wells on the rich Tapia field in the light of the better than expected results.

So why is it only valued at 4M? The primary reason is lack of awareness of the stock, the sub-1p price puts many people off straight away, and a large overhang.

A year or so ago the company was put in financial dire straits by a
well blowout and had to undertake large discounted placings to get
itself back on track, which it has done with a vengeance. However,
some of these placing shares, which represent some 25% of the company
are being sold into the market, depressing the price so that despite the fact that the companies prospects have improved dramatically over
the past year, the price has dropped by nearly 60%.

This makes the company an absolute bargain at these rock-bottom prices. In 6 months time I expect this to be worth 3-5 times the current price. SERIOUSLY.

There is plenty of research to get your teeth into, the best place to start is the website :

www.seftonresources.com

There are 2 excellent articles on Sefton on the following website by Ian Mclelland (Jan/Feb 2006) - well worth a read to get up to speed on this company and it's prospects:

up 30% on the day thats a bit less boring, good Volume people will take there profit tomorrow but we will hold these low 30,s soon and moVe on up.

mjr1234 - 30 Jan 2006 17:48 - 365 of 1047

I too expect a small retrace tomorrow unless news or something else is out. But since most sells today were at a price of 0.30-0.34, then I can't see the offer going below 0.34 or therearbouts unless there is a lot of selling.

explosive - 30 Jan 2006 18:30 - 366 of 1047

With news round the corner can't imagine there will be much selling, any reason for the 47% rise today???? Looks like the share might have been tipped on volumes, anyone any idea? Riskgrade 508 so nothing there...

mjr1234 - 30 Jan 2006 19:15 - 367 of 1047

Someone on the advfn bb said he rang Jeremy Delmar-Morgan (ex-CEO of Tether & Greenwood), and apparently he had mentioned/tipped this stock to some private clients/contacts? This might be a/the reason for the rise today.

explosive - 30 Jan 2006 19:21 - 368 of 1047

MJ thanks for post 367, definatly a good possibility, the MM's would have increased the sp on news of this.... Anyway in my mind nothings changed and I'm still holding...

cellby - 30 Jan 2006 21:57 - 369 of 1047

a good rise like today is nice way to get us noticed, bring in more buyers to clear oVerhang .we had pump up like this few weeks back and it droped to .26,if it repeats im grabing a few more this co has 100% in it short term ,get me out of some dogs i haVe lost interest with.

mjr1234 - 30 Jan 2006 22:13 - 370 of 1047

This one seemed a lot more solid, with the MM's taking countless sells at 0.31-0.33 and barely flinching. I think the end of the overhang is very close, if not already here.

But I guess we'll have a better idea tomorrow?

cellby - 31 Jan 2006 10:34 - 371 of 1047

not a big rush for the door yet mm trying a mark down to get in some stock.

Mickey Take - 31 Jan 2006 10:48 - 372 of 1047

News will arrive soon, and the price will rocket again

mjr1234 - 31 Jan 2006 10:54 - 373 of 1047

The only people selling now will be short-termers who haven't done any research into where this is going and probably jumped on last week at 0.29p for a quick 10-15% profit.
Fools!

Mickey Take - 31 Jan 2006 11:03 - 374 of 1047

mrj

T Tenners will be out mate

mjr1234 - 31 Jan 2006 12:10 - 375 of 1047

CSH up 30+% today, market cap now 20M, and is expected to be producing 5000bopm.

SER at 5M and 6000+bopm looks ridiculously cheap when compared to it's peers.

explosive - 31 Jan 2006 18:30 - 376 of 1047

MJ so true, if the price falls again I'm ready, another 1m would be a nice touch at .26 if we get it!!

cellby - 31 Jan 2006 18:34 - 377 of 1047

stayed up better than i exspected ,Volume droped off from yesterday some strange moVes in the oils today profit taking moVed in on jkx Vog nop others were down then pulled back sbe dgo fto eel.i like to compare ser with blr about same market cap, but ser has there income stream and there share price should be up with blr. 1st feb tomorrow things should be moVing soon.

mjr1234 - 31 Jan 2006 18:43 - 378 of 1047

cellby,

BLR has hardly any production compared to SER, and as far as I know hasn't got the gas and possible CBM prospects that SER has. The two aren't comparable in my view.

cellby - 31 Jan 2006 19:17 - 379 of 1047

mjr1234 i agre think ser should be at least same price 1.5-2p as blr and when the profits start should leaVe the old 6p highs behind. i haVe been in these for 2years always thought they could do it.are you saying they could come up to csh price.

jameel06 - 31 Jan 2006 21:30 - 380 of 1047

cellby, there seems to be a consistent trend in the sp - with appreciation followed by a downward trends. So alot of money to be made in the short term! I only have small exposure in this stock, and want to get back on if the sp drops to 0.28-.30.......

mjr1234 - 31 Jan 2006 21:36 - 381 of 1047

jameel06,

No offence, but you've got it wrong there. This is no good for short-term trading due to the spread. It is only good with a buy-and-hold strategy with a view to 6-12 months+ timeframe. This is the way to make real money with this stock.

If you want to day-trade try spread-betting FTSE stocks or commodities. The risk is massively reduced and the reward is amplified by trading on margin.

No proper "traders" trade penny shares. Trying it will only lead to heavy losses in the long run as I have found to my peril. The heady gains you get one week are eventually outweighed by the shocking losses you get the next. BUY AND HOLD.

potatohead - 01 Feb 2006 17:13 - 382 of 1047

strongly recomend to sell
