How would you like to trade a market where you get large regular price swings every 10 minutes in the afternoon, seven days a week. A
market where all prices are set purely by supply and demand, few transaction costs, no middle men and you only pay commission if you win? Where you can freely act as a market maker and where you have direct market access and where you can create a spread for others to take?
Betfair has revolutionised the betting market and created an open platform for exchanging risk on sports events. This market is now viewed much more like a traditional financial risk market than an old fashioned betting market. Smart users have realised that there are huge opportunities on Betfair because they can buy and sell risk in much the same way they would in a normal financial market but without the burden of cost or the restricted access that is usually associated with traditional financial markets.

Bjorkman putting up a fight against Davydenko. He's an old man though so should fade soon. :-) Hopefully.

Think I've just lost a shit load on that match. I presume Davydenko must be injured.

Hadn't really considered the prospect of an injury causing a losing position to be honest. It's a third option, like a draw in a rugby match. Unlikely but possible. It just doesn't appear on the screen.

Kuznetzkova wins first set 6-4
Dementieva 5-1 down in first set
Hewitt 4-0 up in first set
john - i know its no comfort currently but maybe a stop loss in place say 20 ticks away would give some insurance against this

John, Sorry to hear of your loss too. If it makes you feel a little better (probably not), I got wasted yesterday when Henin crashed out. Backed her when she was 1 set down and never greened up despite chances to do so.
Steve and John, Let's arrange a night out again.

whenever suits me - offer some dates up for john
Konetzova finally scraped through 6-4 in the third - though a great game to trade - in 3 sets their was 13 breaks of serve - she looks a prime candidate to lay to back back in future rounds

Just laid Ancic for a small amount at 1.08, He is 1 set up (on a tie break). I have popped a trailing stop on him and will leave it there and go off and have some tea and put the kids to bed.

Just nipped in to see what was happening, One set all Ancic out to 1.30. I'm getting the hang of this tennis stuff. Ancic to serve first in next set so I guess he has the upper hand now.

Derek seems to be caught in a strong south westerly the way he's been drifting since midnight. Good spot.
edit: reading betfair forum, it seems the price movement is down to Derek threatening to walk lol
