THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

If Scotland were to get independence then on the subject of banks being bailed out by government where would Scotlands government stand on RBS being majority owned by the UK taxpayer...

Haystack - 13 Feb 2014 12:21 - 36560 of 81564

It was Alistair Darling that brokered the deal for all three parties to refuse to give Scotland the pound.

Fred1new - 13 Feb 2014 12:41 - 36561 of 81564

So!

Is Cameron and henchmen are so much in favour of the union why is he as "leader" still ducking a debate face to face with Salmond?

Hasn't got courage of his convictions.

I suspect he doesn't have many convictions other than those of convenience.

goldfinger - 13 Feb 2014 12:43 - 36562 of 81564

But 'money is no object'. Fred

goldfinger - 13 Feb 2014 12:44 - 36563 of 81564

Lets all remember that 'MONEY IS NO OBJECT'.

MaxK - 13 Feb 2014 12:45 - 36564 of 81564

Why would Cameroon want a debate with Wee Eck?

Is he talking about the money in his own wallet, or the British taxpayers wallets when he says "money is no object"?

goldfinger - 13 Feb 2014 12:47 - 36567 of 81564

Max.....to discuss the money........ie, just how much debt is apportioned to Scotland if and when they break away.

goldfinger - 13 Feb 2014 12:50 - 36568 of 81564

Hes talking about the pound in your pocket ....ooooooops I meant his pocket (donors and all) SLEAZE SLEAZE.

goldfinger - 13 Feb 2014 12:52 - 36569 of 81564

British taxpayers pockets as per usual.

What he really meant to say yesterday is that 'debt is no object'.

goldfinger - 13 Feb 2014 12:53 - 36570 of 81564

Well when its in Tory heartlands.

Fred1new - 13 Feb 2014 12:54 - 36571 of 81564

Max,

Cameron is seen as running "fright".

Doing the same from your Nick.

Ducking and weaving seems to be his skill.

Apparently, according to many he is also ducking press conference questions, by only answering "setups".

Seemingly on the advice of Bing,

goldfinger - 13 Feb 2014 12:55 - 36572 of 81564

Remember a pound in your pocket is worth two in the bush.

Fred1new - 13 Feb 2014 12:57 - 36573 of 81564

Max,

Within the next 15-20 years, the UK will be queuing up to join the EU.

Edit

I would guess within 5-10!

goldfinger - 13 Feb 2014 12:57 - 36574 of 81564

Wheres Hays would be interesting to hear his take on this 'money is no object'.

goldfinger - 13 Feb 2014 12:59 - 36575 of 81564

Or two pounds in your pocket is worth 4 on the bird table.

I prefer the "two in the bush" !:-)

Anyway I'm glad of the clarification as I'm never very sure that these politicians actually realise where all the money comes from - including their salaries.
