LW, charts are good for watching which direction price is going.
Here we go, the old ta/fundamental argument!

little woman - 06 Jan 2004 14:19 - 3669 of 23498

I use charts, but at the moment with a market as volatile as it is, it tends to work out if I think it has peaked or hit bottom. I don't think that's what they are supposed to be for, but it does seem to work for me!

stockbunny - 06 Jan 2004 16:00 - 3670 of 23498

Afternoon All,
Congratulations Little Woman!! Heading the league again I see,
still the three of us in the top 5, although I'm heading downwards
bit by bit and may drop off the end - someone better catch me if I do!

Socs
I'm coming up for the racing in March and am looking for a hotel for 3 nights, 16th/17th/18th. Cant find any vacancies on the web, any ideas?

Does anyone know of a site that will do the searching for me?

Socrates - 06 Jan 2004 18:28 - 3672 of 23498

Jeffmack
The place is always packed during Cheltenham Festival time but the Information Centre can usually help. If you can't get anything on-line, give them a call.

First day of term and the youngest comes home with nits again. It took the most of Dec to get rid of the last lot. This stupid so called 'human rights' act and the equally stupid 'data protection' act mean that the local authority refuse to let the school do anything about it.

The sooner we leave the so called EU and dump its stupid adeas the better.

snoball - 06 Jan 2004 20:27 - 3676 of 23498

What have the data protection act and human rights got to do with nits, T_i_m?
Sorry I don't see the connection.

snoball - 06 Jan 2004 20:29 - 3677 of 23498

I seem to remember when our kids were at school (a loooong time ago) they de nitted the whole school when there was an outbreak.

8 ball, Man of leisure! only when i'm not doing something? The rest of the time it's hard work thinking of what to do. Im always doing something most of the time which can be hard work in itself so really im very hard working all round when you think of it! Infact, what leisure time?

I need a drink after that.

Golddog - 06 Jan 2004 22:58 - 3680 of 23498

Soho for that sort of money surely, snoball? :-)

little woman - 07 Jan 2004 08:56 - 3684 of 23498

Morning all, just in time for a late fry up. Looks like there are some problems accessing the Traders room. Maybe we'll have a few extra visitors today.

snoball - 07 Jan 2004 09:32 - 3685 of 23498

lol, kayak!

This_is_me - 07 Jan 2004 12:50 - 3686 of 23498

snoball These Acts prevent any mention of the problem because (a) having nits is a personal matter which schools are not allowed to collect or have data on and (b) telling anyone that there are nits in a school infringes the 'human rights' of all the pupils in the school by affecting their reputations and the 'human rights' of the pupil causing the problem, who could be stagmitised, suffer abuse etc. The local authorities now refuse to do anything about nits because they are scared of being taken to the cleaners by legal aid backed parents on the dole who have nothing better to do with their time and who like to screw the system for whatever they can get.

The net result is that everyone suffers - daft european thinking isn't it.

hilary - 07 Jan 2004 13:00 - 3687 of 23498

Timbo,

Hear, hear. Namby, pamby nanny state.

My 9 year old daughter has hair half way down her back. You can imagine what it's like trying to keep her free of nits. My husband keeps threatening to put his No 2 depth gauge through her locks.
