Referendum : to be in Europe or not to be ?, that is the question ! (REF)

required field - 03 Feb 2016 10:00

Thought I'd start a new thread as this is going to be a major talking point this year...have not made up my mind yet...(unlike bucksfizz)....but thinking of voting for an exit as Europe is not doing Britain any good at all it seems....

jimmy b - 31 Mar 2016 09:08 - 368 of 12628

What about those waiting to be processed from outside the EU ,they have to live .

jimmy b - 31 Mar 2016 09:09 - 369 of 12628

Reading this thread has been an eye opener for me as to what people believe and also what people want ,it's a strange world we live in .

grannyboy - 31 Mar 2016 09:19 - 370 of 12628

Someone can come into the country start selling the Big Issue and after a couple of days obtain a NI number by saying they're self employed...

Barmy but TRUE!

VICTIM - 31 Mar 2016 09:19 - 371 of 12628

What way do you mean jimmy , good or bad .

Haystack - 31 Mar 2016 09:20 - 372 of 12628

Certainly there have been cover ups of rape figure. However it is wrong to use the silly "Sweden: rape capital" headline as an excuse to leave the EU. All governments cover up crime stats. The true crime ethnicity figures at never released in the UK due to political nervousness.

Haystack - 31 Mar 2016 09:24 - 373 of 12628

Not true. You have to prove that you have the right to work in the UK to get an NI number even for self employed status.

grannyboy - 31 Mar 2016 09:25 - 374 of 12628

jimmy b post 366, I stated that 'asylum seekers' can claim benefits, up until they're either successful for which they will carry on getting benefits until they find work, or if not accepted then they're supposed to be deported and would not receive anymore benefits...

VICTIM - 31 Mar 2016 09:25 - 375 of 12628

Why should there be political nervousness , we should be told everything that affects us , this is why people don't trust Governments .

grannyboy - 31 Mar 2016 09:31 - 376 of 12628

My god..Another STUPID statement by the threads imbicile....haystack ANYONE from the EU can come into the UK whether they've got a job to go straight into or not, if not they CAN claim JSA and housing benefits...

Those from outside the eu can as i've stated start selling the Big Issue to claim self employment and obtain a NI number...

YOU MIGHT NOT LIKE ME POINTING THAT OUT BUT IT'S TRUE!!

Haystack - 31 Mar 2016 09:32 - 377 of 12628

There are lots of things governments don't tell us, especially regarding security matters.

Haystack - 31 Mar 2016 09:34 - 378 of 12628

Those from the EU can get an NI number, those from outside don't get one even if they are self employed. It is just a myth.

VICTIM - 31 Mar 2016 09:34 - 379 of 12628

Security matters is different .

cynic - 31 Mar 2016 09:40 - 380 of 12628

hays - stop obfuscating!

Haystack - 31 Mar 2016 09:41 - 381 of 12628

The last sentence is key and the one that begins "If you have the right to work in the UK".

When starting work or setting up as self-employed

If you start work or set up as self-employed you must apply for a National Insurance number if you do not have one. You do not need to have a plastic National Insurance number card. If you have the right to work in the UK, you will need to telephone your nearest National Insurance Number Processing Centre to make an appointment. There are three Processing Centres.

Shaftesbury Square Telephone - 028 9013 8286 if you live in the Belfast area
Portadown Telephone - 028 3877 3046 if you live in the Southern area of Northern Ireland
Lisnagelvin Telephone - 028 7185 5407 and 028 7185 5406 if you live in the Northern area
(lines are open from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm Monday to Friday) to arrange an appointment .

You will need to go to an 'Evidence of identity' interview.

"There are lots of things governments don't tell us"

The most HONEST statement you've made...

Yes of of course, take the Labour party and the Police, Social Services...Around 2000 Ann Cryer(Labour) informed ALL of the above authorities that white children were being groomed by muslim Pakistani men in her constituency of Keighley in West Yorkshire...

She was told by those who SHOULD have been protecting these children to go away and stop rocking the boat, for fear of upsetting those from the muslim community, the same happened in Rotherham and elsewhere around the UK....

VICTIM - 31 Mar 2016 09:48 - 383 of 12628

TOTALLY unacceptable and shocking grannyboy .

grannyboy - 31 Mar 2016 09:51 - 384 of 12628

Yes what they do is go to the Big Issue office ask to start selling the magazine and hey presto they get confirmation from Big Issue that they've being self employed go along to the offices of the NI to get their number...

SIMPLES..Even for YOU haystack...

Haystack - 31 Mar 2016 09:56 - 385 of 12628

Just an urban myth. Just to be sure, I asked my son who worked at a job centre recently and rang the job centre to confirm.

VIC , i meant that i was surprised by some peoples views , being called a racist for not wanting to welcome the world in to tiny little UK ,all of us who are concerned (and have a right to be) are attacked by a minority.
Saying that anyone who would agree with Farage and his view on immigration is the lowest common denominator ,that's racist in itself .

VICTIM - 31 Mar 2016 10:03 - 387 of 12628

I'm with you now jimmy , this is why we are where we are .
