THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

gf is going at a hundred miles an hour this morning. It reminds me of a friend who was a manic depressive (now called bipolar) when he hadn't taken his Lithium Carbonate.

goldfinger - 18 Feb 2014 14:18 - 36818 of 81564

Just thinking the Armed Forces figures are fiddled aswel.

Basicaly run by the TAs these days. 2 aircraft carriers with no planes on them, complete assholic shambles.

goldfinger - 18 Feb 2014 14:23 - 36819 of 81564

Museums, libarys, public baths, parks all gone under the Tories, what a mess they have left Labour to take over.

goldfinger - 18 Feb 2014 14:45 - 36820 of 81564

And have you noticed the state of the roads!!!!!!!!! pot holes all over the place.

The Tories have really let this country go to the dogs.

Fred1new - 18 Feb 2014 14:56 - 36821 of 81564

GF/

Slow down.

Let them wallow in their misery for a while.

There is always to-morrow I hope.

But the pot holes are getting bigger, thought one was a swimming pool the other day.

It was Labour that took away school playing fields

Halal & Kosher Slaughter Banned In Denmark As Minister Insists 'Animal Rights Come Before Religion'

About time to , let's hope the EU bans it as well.

That immigration debate on channel 5 and the benefits debate on 4, was badly run due to the presenter's loosing total control of the pannel and the audience.

Apart from Katie Hopkins views that she spout's to keep in the limelight because its a good TV earner for her. over 90% of the audience who continued to shout free speach down were non white , maybe its the norm in their countrys.

Were was Paxman when we needed him.

12 years a slave got the top award at the Baftas , how very p c. When will we get an apology from the black African tribal Chief's who supplied the slave's to the white men?

cynic - 18 Feb 2014 15:05 - 36824 of 81564

and for centuries before to the arabs

goldfinger - 18 Feb 2014 15:26 - 36825 of 81564

Alders Labour took away school playing fields??????? not what I remember it was the 1995 LSM act that led to that.

1995 Tories had a 6 seat majority in government didnt they????????

Checking.

goldfinger - 18 Feb 2014 15:28 - 36826 of 81564

So add school playing fields to all the other assets sold off.........Pathetic.

What next the Canals.

cynic - 18 Feb 2014 15:44 - 36828 of 81564

oh, but i thought labour then came into power for about 12 years
wasn't that long enough to reverse that decision, or was there no money left?

oh, i see .... the labour gov't spent it all on building council houses?
oh, and did they stop tenants buying their council houses too?

perhaps the labour gov't set in motion to spend £1-200bn on coastal defenses and the like?
no?
of well, perhaps they at least blocked building on flood plain then?
really not?
i'm astounded!

do stop being such a total idiot .... it's generally not entirely like you
that sort of crap is best left to fossy

Haystack - 18 Feb 2014 15:49 - 36829 of 81564

The law passed by the Conservatives allowed unwanted playing fields to be sold off. The actual selling off was done by local councils, virtually every one was a Labour council. It was the period of time when lefties said they did not like competitive sports as it created 'losers', which was harmful to those not good at sports. Their reaction was to stop competitive sports in schools. No sport = no need for sports facilities and playing fields. By the time that some of them realised how stupid they were, the playing fields had gone.

Another famous cockup by the left.

cynic - 18 Feb 2014 15:55 - 36830 of 81564

i'm afraid one of our excellent local schools recently sold off a slab of its playing fields to TW.
it's true they got some very nice all-weather pitches in the deal, but hardly the same thing

Fred1new - 18 Feb 2014 16:00 - 36831 of 81564

"The law passed by the Conservatives allowed unwanted playing fields to be sold off."

Tory myths and media manipulation.
