Please report bugs and enhancements (BUGS)

If you're having any problems, or want to suggest some improvements, please post below!

Level2 changes
In the last few weeks we've needed to implement some code changes to make us compliant with the LSE's rules on the access of Level2 data.

The following requirement is now in place:
You can only use 1 program on 1 computer to access Level2 on MoneyAM using a single username.

This means that you are able to view as many Level2 windows using any one particular browser, or program, that you wish, however you will not be able to use both Firefox and Internet Explorer at the same time (the same goes for using Quote Tracker or TradeSeeker at the same time as viewing it using a web browser)

If you find you're being logged off of MoneyAM's Level2 with the message 'you've logged on from another location' then check the above and make sure you're not running any other programs at the same time before reporting this as a bug.

yes it did. it did it to me every 1 to 2 minutes. In fact I have just been logged out again today , five minutes ago. I am only putting level 2 on one IP address

J - Well, I don't know what you want me to say.

There was certainly a problem of some kind and it wasn't just me who was suffering.

Level1 and Level2 streaming yesterday was close to useless.

The TradeSeeker products attempt a reconnection if the streaming stalls - in total close to 100 times yesterday for me.

I fared no better with MoneyAM Level2 - it kept stopping. The only way I could get it to restart was to refresh it.

On a normal day I usually see close to zero reconnects - which is the case today.

Jules,

The level2 logout code isn't per IP address, it's per computer. So if you have Level2 up on two computers on the same IP address you should be logged out from one of them.

It's nothing to do with IP addresses, it's computers...

Tullet J, I have one computerwith 2 screens which displays level 2
I may be a little simple with computers, but I did understand the one computer aspect from last week:-)

Jules - 20 Sep 2005 13:32 - 3699 of 7315

I have been logged off again. Level 2 is on one computer only

Jules,

Just checking :)

When it's disconnecting, does it actually say 'you've logged in from another location'?

J.

Jules - 20 Sep 2005 13:34 - 3701 of 7315

Yes it does

I know the problem. If someone tries to look quickly at Qwentos intraday scanner , level 2. Money am log you off the terminals

TullettJ (MoneyAM) - 20 Sep 2005 14:11 - 3703 of 7315

Jules,

Out of interest, are you also using Trade Seeker?

J.

Jules - 20 Sep 2005 14:13 - 3704 of 7315

ca n you call me. I left the numberwith Karl

TullettJ (MoneyAM) - 20 Sep 2005 14:33 - 3705 of 7315

qwento,

If you're viewing Level2 via the MoneyAM website and also accessing the Level2 stream via your software, that's what would be causing your log offs.

You can't access the Level2 stream via two methods at the same time - they appear as different display devices.

I, like Jules, and getting constant messages on Level 2 and terminals saying I'm logged on from another location... but I'm definitely not. I've had it eight times in the last ten minutes.

TullettJ (MoneyAM) - 21 Sep 2005 08:07 - 3711 of 7315

Maggot,

You're using two different browsers to access the service. That's why you're being logged off.

J.

Maggot - 21 Sep 2005 08:13 - 3712 of 7315

Wow. Ok. But I've been doing this for months. Internet Explorer tends to seize up, so I have some windows open on Mozilla. I'll try using just one.

I must confess the trouble has only started since I tried opening Level 2 on the other computer at the same time as it was open on this one. I did it once and haven't done it since.

TullettJ (MoneyAM) - 21 Sep 2005 08:18 - 3713 of 7315

Maggot,

The LSE's requirements are that we disallow multiple display devices or connection methods at the same time, using one account, on our Level2 product.

Code for this went in place a few weeks ago (and was commented on in this thread)

TullettJ,

I'm constantly losing connection to level2 - over 100 times so far today - I'm running tradeseeker, I have only one display device and I've only just logged into the moneyam website to report this.

Cheers Rob
