The engines have fired up at last for MDX. ( BPRG ) At long last they are being recognised for the force they will become over the next two years. On the cusp of disclosing huge revenue-earning deals with Global pharmacists. These have been hinted at as being unrolled before the years end, but may be in the next days. You still have time to get in at a bargain-basement price before the SP takes off for real shortly.

ChilliBoy,
This issue that you seem to have with short selling - do I take it that you only hang to one side (metaphorically speaking)?

My special one.I do not agree with the principle of short selling.let me give you an example.Betfairas I am sure you are aware are a company that give you the opportunity to back horses or any events to lose as well as win. An opinion with each otherin all the years that they have been operating the only problems have been manipulating the market on the backing of losersLast week yet again with Dean McKeown...every penny that is invested reflects in the pricebad enough but.. if someone wants to sell a company on the AIMgreatthey need to buy that company in the first placebut they dontthats not a marketthats a racket!

I'm not sure that I understand your point, my little Jalapeno. Are you suggesting that the day to day trading of the company suffers as a result of its stock being sold short?

My special oneI am saying I do not agree with hedge funds borrowing shares to sell.there interest is then only to drive the price down nothing more nothing less.

But surely most investors are only on board because they think that the price will go up. Surely that's nothing more than pure greed in itself.
And if those same investors weren't so happy to lend their stock in the first instance, then the hedge funds wouldn't be able to sell it short.

Who's arguing? I'm just trying to understand the mindset that's all.
Fwiw though, short selling alone does not drive share prices down.
