ANYTHING GOES(APART FROM RACISM/NON PC SUBJECTS/ETC)

superrod - 11 Jun 2003 19:26

doesnt leave much does it? but lets try and kick start this site into action. posts are very few and far between. why is that? talk about anything but TALK. its free but it wont last without input......so PUT IN a post or two here and there.
and this time next year we will all be MILLIONAIRES

Andy - 24 Jun 2003 23:39 - 37 of 61

gardyne,

To be honest until I've read the prospectus, i'm not sure!

The countries they operate in have a fair country risk, so maybe not.
(Although the same could be said about the Ukraine I suppose!)

I may just wait until they float, and buy on AIM

To obtain a prospectus, the brokers are;

Nominated Adviser and Broker
Rowan Dartington & Co. Limited

hi Andy
sounds like I bgt. PRE at about the same time as you- fools and money?-well in my case anyway, I like the sound of African Diamonds and will take a look( the first share I ever bgt, was De-Beers)
Just rumaged thro` some old stuff and found two more "short term punts" that went wrong-I still hold them in hope---------Desire Pet.&,GTL Resc.(I bgt. them when they were `Bakyrchic Gold`)

When`s that damned AVM going to do something? what a boring share.

Cassis - 25 Jun 2003 11:51 - 39 of 61

What keeps people going back to ADVFN is the ability to say, within reason, what you like.

The reason that I very rarely use this BB is that it is dead, and it is dead because they banned the posters who had an opinion. I'll keep my opinions for elsewhere, MAM is middle-of the road insipid nicey-nicey office-based share chat.

And sequestor, I ain't keith or the soph, I'm (in Andy's words) a protagonist.

Regards.

Sequestor - 25 Jun 2003 13:17 - 40 of 61

cassis
If you don`t like the board and have been told by MAM that the unruly yob element are banned, why on earth bother to post?, or even to "look in", you `keep your opinions for elsewhere` you say , but you don`t.

interesting to see though, you are still posting which I guess slots you into the categorie of being, in your words,a------

" middle-of the road insipid nicey-nicey office-based share chat(ter)".

I believe that MAM have little use for a free bb anyway, the `pay-board`has several hundred posts daily, but if you can`t pay or won`t pay you miss it.

ps I know who you are .

Cassis - 25 Jun 2003 13:59 - 41 of 61

Who am I?

MightyMicro - 25 Jun 2003 17:37 - 42 of 61

Cassis:

You have the right to say, within reason, what you like here.

I'm sorry, but it really is complete nonsense to suggest otherwise.

MM

gardyne - 25 Jun 2003 19:16 - 43 of 61

andy, have taken on board your advice and thanks for taking the time to get me the details of the broker where i can get the prospectus.

Andy - 25 Jun 2003 23:06 - 44 of 61

gardyne,

My pleasure.

superrod - 27 Jun 2003 20:17 - 45 of 61

this site is a bit like "west world" great film.....you can almost see the tumbleweed. are there any posters with anything to say?

sniffer - 27 Jun 2003 20:37 - 46 of 61

superrod,

This is the idiots room.

The elite are in the traders room:

Andy - 20 Jun'03 - 16:14 - 4 of 9

Felix,

Well that really shows what an appalling resistration "policy" AM have.

No wonder the idiots are back in the "IR" (Idiots room)
(No that they ever went away in the first place, just quietened down until the heat was off, but you knew that anyway!)

Bubbling away, and will soon be back to full venim any day soon, IMHO.

No wonder the IR is dead!

sniff

Andy - 28 Jun 2003 00:29 - 47 of 61

Sniffer,

Glad you agree, and I'm sure Supperod does too!

The IR has been wrecked by a group of idiots, that were allowed to trash all the threads, and as a result, caused this BB to lose a good deal of the posters that were registered here.

People that came from ADVFN have gone back there, as have the idiots that trashed the threads here!

When Am opened, ADVFN started to monitor their BB, and as a result, those poeple that came here found a less regulated BB than the one they were previously on. As a result they have returned from whence they came, and this BB has died.

Make no mistake, the responsibity for this BB dying lies with the idiots that wrecked the BB, and the management for not doing something about it until it was too late, IMHO.

I don't know if it's too late to save this BB, but something pretty original will have to happen to save it.

Sardinesplaice.com is fast taking over as the number 2 to ADVFN, and it's building because it's well moderated, and by word of mouth, no massive advertising spend. If you misbehave, they kick you out sharpish!

Andy.

PS sorry if you were offended, but my "idiots room" comment referred to the idiots that trashed the threads here, nobody else.

So only you know if I was referring to you or not!

superrod - 28 Jun 2003 18:58 - 48 of 61

i for one am not prepared to pay to chat on a premium bb when there are only a dozen or so posts on the free version. if someone could show me there was worthwhile traffick i might take a look.
sniffer/andy
i dont profess to be in the elite......i just want a forum to talk shares.....bull or bear. what i cant stand is the back stabbing/bullshit/stalking/alias crap etc.

pwmiles - 30 Jun 2003 01:24 - 49 of 61

Ho hum. Just had a look at Sardinesplaice, but I could not find much reason to stay now I am cured of my Ashley addiction. Poor old Ash is still putting up microsecond charts of TWT over there LOL... yes doctor I knew I said I wouldn't

I was actually banned from moneyam in its early days for 'HTML abuse' ! I was reinstated after a rather embarrassing correspondence when I finally agreed to be NICE to everyone (without even ONE exception which I had tried to negotiate...)

OK lets talk shares. Here are mine.

Hidefield HIF is getting jolly interesting don't you think? [Small mining explorer just negotiated an earn-in to a gold prospect in Brazil with a Canadian co. called Black Swan]

PDX... moving

JKX... ready for another run

AVM... stop-start

HPD, HEV... dead in the water. I however think HEV (gold explorer mainly in Bulgaria) is a sleeping beauty, fully financed for current activities by Goldfields who bought in at 7p, currently 5p

FLT Flintstone, IP in surface coatings etc. Frankly I found this by accident, typed in the wrong epic. Gone soggy since results. However, adequately funded as I understand it, cheap at 60% discount to flotation price.

JFR JP Morgan Fleming Russian... mainly in oil majors Yukos Lukoil etc... ???

REI Resources IT... refuses to die anyway, largest holdings GTL CER and TMG

I am itching to get back in to GWP but it has in fact substantially followed a prediction I made, to correct from the recent 265p high; I target 180-190 as re-entry zone

Watching Phytopharm PYM also

Would consider Dyson DYS and Porvair PRV, both in interesting materials sectors

Also hold Harmony HMY and Anglogold AU (US trading via www.sharepeople.co.uk, excellent reliable online broker).

Just a few midnight thoughts

Pat

superrod - 01 Jul 2003 20:16 - 50 of 61

thus and synstar ( THUS, SYN ) might be worth a punt i am very bullish on both companies.

ps

where has the MAM input gone? have they given up reading their bbs?

Sequestor - 02 Jul 2003 08:17 - 51 of 61

super-odd - 01 Jul'03 - 20:16 - 49 of 49 (rambling)

Sequestor - 02 Jul 2003 08:29 - 52 of 61

It is now 8.20 a.m.,and there have been over 30 posts on the `pay to talk` side,
no big cut and pastes ,no ramping, no ` mines bigger than yours`,no gangs roaming , ramping and warning off those who dare suggest a share may fall- some shorters too.
In short an eclectic, well mannered buch of posts, not suited to the mass `machine gun` scattering of any old share to `ensure one goes up` style loved by the bemoaners , who incidentally are totaly absent from the action- can`t pay or not allowed to, can`t afford to ?
90 posts an hour is quite enough for normal perusal thank you, unless you are a ramper of course

Iain

Densil - 04 Jul 2003 19:22 - 53 of 61

Testing 123
Hmm seems I'm free to post, question is will I be talking to anyone?

MightyMicro - 04 Jul 2003 20:21 - 54 of 61

Densil:

Why did you think you wouldn't be free to post?

And yes, you are talking to someone.

Hello.

MM
