Will this increase or decrease the likelihood of terrorist actions in America, Europe and the rest of the world?
If you were a member of a family murdered in this conflict, would you be seeking revenge?
Should Tzipi Livni and Ehud Olmert, be tried for war crimes if or when this conflict comes to an end?
What will the price of oil be in 4 weeks time?

I think the IJM, like the administration is blind in both eyes.
They are aware of infringements of their own "rights" but not those of others.

why don't you two (fred and hayseed) just phone each other to discuss the unfairness of life especially in gaza? ..... no one else seems much interested
btw, did you register that donkey prices in gaza have plummeted 70% since the influx of cheap chinese tuk-tuks through the hamas cash-cow smuggling tunnels from egypt ..... promise it's true

Cynic,
You don't have register your protest.
But, it is interesting how you pop up when anything slightly critical of Israel's actions is written.
If you are not interested in the thread, pass it bye on the other side of the road.

i didn't bother to read what you or hayseed wrote - i almost never do as have better things to do with my life .... was merely curious to see how many others were joining your polemical thread - as i thought; effectively none
my report about the donkey trade was however rather amusing and also, as it happens, accurate as far as i can determine

I see the OCD sufferers are at it again.
Their recent absence suggests incarceration in a high security mental establishment.
Those psychiatrists have a long and unhappy record of releasing their demented charges back into the community.
They've done it again.

Is Camerons Britain preparing to kowtowing to the Israel's government?
Strange how Israel seems to feel it has the right to assassinate who it wishes to in any country it chooses to, but not accept the laws of those not country.

Israel is postponing "strategic dialogue" with Britain over defence and security issues, an Israeli Foreign Ministry spokesman said.
The move is a protest over attempts to use British law to prosecute visiting Israeli officials for alleged war crimes, the spokesman added.
The news comes on the first day of an official visit to Israel by the UK's Foreign Secretary William Hague.
He will also be visiting the occupied territories.
An arrest warrant was issued through UK courts for Israeli former Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni in December last year. The warrant was granted by a London court at the request of Palestinian plaintiffs, provoking Israeli anger.
It was revoked when it was found Ms Livni was not visiting the UK.
The Israeli Foreign Ministry spokesman denied that the latest development was a deliberate "ambush" to humiliate Mr Hague.

The timing of this announcement will have raised eyebrows on the British side, because the UK feels it is working hard to meet Israeli concerns over this issue.
Western diplomats are often frustrated by the way the Israeli foreign ministry works - it has a record of making statements which embarrass and frustrate Israel's allies and friends.
But diplomats say what is said and done by the Israeli Foreign Ministry is often at odds with the Israeli prime minister's position.
That reflects one of the anomalies of the very fragile coalition government in Israel.
Earlier this week it was reported that Israel's Intelligence Minister, Dan Meridor, cancelled a trip to Britain amid concerns that he risked being arrested on war crimes charges.
Israel has expressed anger that, in the past, ministers and senior military figures have had to cancel visits to the UK because of concerns that pro-Palestinian groups might use the courts to seek their arrest over Israeli military action in Gaza, or this year's raid on a Gaza-bound aid ship in which nine Turkish activists were killed.
Pro-Palestinian campaigners have tried several times to have Israeli officials arrested under the principle of universal jurisdiction, which holds that some alleged crimes are so grave that they can be tried anywhere, regardless of where the offences were committed.
************************The BBC's Wyre Davies said the news that Israel was postponing an annual round of strategic talks with Britain was potentially embarrassing, even though the Conservatives have already promised to amend those laws which could expose visiting Israeli politicians to arrest.
****************
The Israeli Foreign Ministry said the issue would be at the top of the agenda during Mr Hague's visit.

Fred- Israel assasinates those who have a history of violence towards israel and its citizens. Those that carry out those acts do so in the knowledge that Israel will track them down and put them out of their misery.
Remember the police station in ramallah where 2 reserve soldiers were savagely murdered and their bodies flung from the 1st floor-well the guy who came out showing the blood on his hands is now sharing seventh heaven with his virgin brides.

:) :) I didn't know that. That's put a smile on my face :)
A few weeks ago some nasty settlers (yes, ALL countries have unpleasant citizens !) attacked a village on the West Bank and some Korans were burnt as a result.
A group of local rabbi settlers were so incensed and embarrassed by their fellow settlers' actions they went to the village and apologised and gave them brand new Korans.
Of course you never read anything positive on this thread, only the rantings and hatreds of Nazis, anti-semites and the obsessed.

Most of the Israeli West Bank settler violence is conducted while the Israeli forces stand by to prtotect the settlers and often to assist them.

I am certainly not a Guardian reader. The reports of settler violence come from many sources. Stealing the Palestinians' olive crops, their land, bulldozing their crops and houses. All of this happpens while IOF forces protect the settlers. Ony a couple of days ago some settlers burned a Christian church in the West Bank. The settler movement tends to be mainly ultra right wing orthodox. Their views, which are often quoted are that non Jews are scum and should be destroyed. This is ethnic cleasing on a par with the Nazis.
