When you've all quite finished cooing over the baby, I would like to thank Eric for the usual clarity of his qualifications to my remarks yesterday - we both seem to have got in in the nick of time before reality overtook our ruminations.

Sounds like serious negotiations for contracts with suppliers is next on the cards.

Way to go
S.E.O.!

bosley - 10 May 2005 11:05 - 3729 of 27111

sd, going off your last 2 lines i think you would make a very good cheerleader. i can just see you in a little gym skirt and pom poms........er, maybe not!!!!

stockdog - 10 May 2005 11:10 - 3730 of 27111

Sadly, the pom poms no longer fit, bos.

aldwickk - 10 May 2005 11:13 - 3731 of 27111

Also it will be in all the trade mag's and a few write ups in the press tomrrow.

I don't know about qualifications ruminations, but eric called it right again when he said "far from the ship sinking it is about to take off" less than 12 hours ago when the sp was on its way down.

I have just been scanning back over the thread - and it is interesting to note that if anyone had listened to ii and took his advice - based entirely on his knowledge of the industry (!!!) - they would be sitting on a thumping great loss by now - as he probably is.

I on the other hand, listened to the experienced voices of Bosley, Eric, Golldfinger, driver et al - all of whom have experience in one form or other - but more importantly - a commercial brain.

I then made my own judgement - and thank god I was guided by experience and business acumen - rather than a lot of twaddle and hypothetical crap.

Well done you guys. Success favours the brave - or in this case the astute.

.... and thanks again.

Super news! Hurrah. So glad I bought an extra 15K at 19.90 yesterday!

andysmith - 10 May 2005 11:56 - 3735 of 27111

Baza, I think you might have a slight confusion with another thread as Goldfinger has never been on SEO, if only he had, maybe even more would be taking this company seriously.

you'll have to change your peudo poverty!

Poverty
Are you still in ULT.

andysmith
Baz must have meant you instead of goldfinger, you IMO being one of the top three on this board.

If you look back at the AGM comments you will see that an SEO director stated that although the Young's Fish deal extends the shelf life by one day, ie from 2 to 3 days because the there is a loss of 3 other days in the transit period, when it comes to dealing with meat the shelf life is increased by much longer, up to 10 days so the risk of waste is reduced to almost nothing from a current 20% of carcase. I would estimate that the volume of meat sales cf fish is many times greater and so the impact for Asda and their meat suppliers must be that much greater.

bosley - 10 May 2005 12:04 - 3739 of 27111

well done baza. (you keep mentioning goldfinger. i can't remember him posting on this thread.who are you thinking of?)
well done pov. my timing is ok but it could be better. i wish i had waited till monday to open my first cfd. today would have been even better.never mind!!

bosley - 10 May 2005 12:10 - 3740 of 27111

sharesure, how "imminent" do you think the commercial discussions are? you seem to have gleaned a lot from your visit to the agm, you said last week that seo hinted that they would wait till the election was out of the way before releasing any news. spot on!!

Sharesure - 10 May 2005 12:38 - 3741 of 27111

I will try to find out as it would not have been a total surprise to see something on Walmart even as early as this week. They have said they are gearing up to bring forward their roll out wherever they can so sp changing news from any day now on is almost 'a given'. I'll see if I can narrow that down to a more precise timetable.

bosley - 10 May 2005 13:02 - 3742 of 27111

"as early as this week ",....thats narrow enough for me!!thanks !

bosley - 10 May 2005 13:08 - 3743 of 27111

just looking at trades there are some big sellers today. someone earlier cashed in 111 shares and then another big trade just now , selling 191 shares. (i'm gonna go out. it's too nice to spend it sat here all day)

jimmy b - 10 May 2005 13:11 - 3744 of 27111

Carefull bosley, you'll come back and the sp will be 50p..JB..

016622 - 10 May 2005 13:11 - 3745 of 27111

Bos, did you ever come across Dave (Croc) who fathomed the bot trades? (robot)
small electronic trades to settle the market?

Sharesure - 10 May 2005 13:21 - 3746 of 27111

Isn't a small unusual amount of shares an inter market maker code to signal that a much larger transaction has been completed?
Hopefully any shorters have been silenced on this stock; any of you who are interested and want to help on GFM where there is a similar problem would be welcome; the underlying news is all good but it doesn't stop some from trying to spook the market, as we know from this stock.

bhunt1910 - 10 May 2005 13:27 - 3747 of 27111

Apologies Andysmith - I did of course mean to include you in the accolade - not GF (I hav done that a couple of times as I am a fan also of GF who also seems to have a good business acumen - but I do seem to mix GF and Eric up so apologies to both). Also thanks to all of the others who have made worthwhile contributions and kept this thread positive.

This is a great company - and you have all said so before - I know.
