All aboard the GTL train tipped at 2.22p now 2.50 to buy still cheap.

cynic - 02 Nov 2006 16:29 - 374 of 934

but no need to put the farm on this stock ...... reckon it will still be quite a while before it gets excited and of course, maybe not even then

lizard - 02 Nov 2006 16:32 - 375 of 934

cynic - 02 Nov 2006 16:57 - 376 of 934

for what is is worth, i have taken a short position on Dow ..... i just think it's time there was at least one bad day and some consolidation ..... indices just seem to have been rising without significant pause for too long

lizard - 02 Nov 2006 16:59 - 377 of 934

12000 a big level for the dow.

cynic - 02 Nov 2006 17:07 - 378 of 934

sort of ..... Playboy reckons 12000, though that may be as much a psychological level as anything; my own chart guru reckons 11980 ..... anyway, i reckon it's a (silly) play for finessing as i think both Dow and FTSE and still on a firm upward trend

lizard - 02 Nov 2006 17:38 - 379 of 934

in relation to dow ftse dow reached all time highs recently so ftse lagging big time previous all time high about 6952 i believe. sell off in dow was likely.

cynic - 02 Nov 2006 17:43 - 380 of 934

was long FTSE but banked profit just before close ...... may well reopen later or in the morning

maveric - 02 Nov 2006 19:43 - 381 of 934

It shows you how new I am to this game, I thought you meant Driver Group (DRV).
Having managed to buy in August they have now levelled off.
Where do I learn more about dealing?

lizard - 02 Nov 2006 19:50 - 382 of 934

interesting goings on at goo today.

driver - 02 Nov 2006 21:17 - 383 of 934

maveric
You mean they have called a company after me what ever next, you may be new to the game but your (DRV) seems to have done well, well done.

soul traders - 06 Nov 2006 15:01 - 384 of 934

I'm writing this tip primarily in the hopes of irritating Cynic, who failed to buy back into this stock when it was a screaming bargain at 185p a week or two ago :oP

Anyhoo, for those fancying a trading play or even something for the long term, I recommend my perennial favourite, Renesola (SOLA), which is due to announce its quarterly figures on Wednesday this week.

Profits have been skyrocketing as has expansion, so more good news is expected. Two analysts have a price target of 300p, currently we have:

SOLA Bid: 230p Offer: 235p Change: 5

PDYOR and play safely.

moneyplus - 06 Nov 2006 15:07 - 385 of 934

must confess-I'm with the 20 in 2 years brigade for obvious reasons!! no other company with such exciting prospects. IMO.

cynic - 06 Nov 2006 15:30 - 386 of 934

soul* .... you got it wrong again ... lol! ..... i held and continue to hold stock; i just declined to buy more, as i still do.

soul traders - 06 Nov 2006 19:41 - 387 of 934

LMAO - glad you're still in for some, you old rascal - I genuinely thought you'd cleared out your entire holding.

MP, I hope you're right. The figures certainly look promising and I can easily see 800p by the time a full year's results of full capacity of 205 MW is reached; I'm just hoping that this doesn't turn out to be some kind of exotic rip-off. Can't wait for Wednesday though :o) I guess I'm just being slightly cautious in the midst of my enthusiasm.

bristlelad - 06 Nov 2006 20:38 - 388 of 934
