How to profit from Betting Exchanges (BEX)

How would you like to trade a market where you get large regular price swings every 10 minutes in the afternoon, seven days a week. A
market where all prices are set purely by supply and demand, few transaction costs, no middle men and you only pay commission if you win? Where you can freely act as a market maker and where you have direct market access and where you can create a spread for others to take?

Betfair has revolutionised the betting market and created an open platform for exchanging risk on sports events. This market is now viewed much more like a traditional financial risk market than an old fashioned betting market. Smart users have realised that there are huge opportunities on Betfair because they can buy and sell risk in much the same way they would in a normal financial market but without the burden of cost or the restricted access that is usually associated with traditional financial markets.

A familiar story here. Just like a set of traffic lights gone apeshit.

Currently massively green on Nalbandian and small green on Murray.

He just needs to bulk up and work more on his endurance as he ran out of steam towards the end

kernow - 25 Jun 2005 19:45 - 3753 of 10502

Took Murray @ 700 at start of wimbledon and laid off later. Quite happy here :-)

Steve, Thanks for posting the line up for today

Davenport v Clisjers should be a good game to trade. Davenport despite being the top seed doesn't get the media attention unlike Sharapova and has been quietly dispatching her opponents away.

Clisjers is in top form over the last week and seems to have the greater hunger to take the title with her compatriot Henin out.

Both girls are hard hitters of the ball but my gut feeling is that Clisjers will edge it as she moves around the court better. From what I've seen of her so far she seems to have a greater desire to win this year.

Scripophilist - 27 Jun 2005 11:24 - 3760 of 10502

It's court two that interests me the most.

Fundamentalist - 27 Jun 2005 12:50 - 3761 of 10502

Ancic loses first set to Lopez 6-4 and a break down 1-0 in second

Having real probs with his serve having served 8 double faults in 6 service games and a 42% 1st serve %

Fundamentalist - 27 Jun 2005 12:51 - 3762 of 10502

Nalbandian has broken Gasquet in the first set (and had chances to do so on nearly all of his service games)

Fundamentalist - 27 Jun 2005 12:54 - 3763 of 10502

Ancic breaks straight back in second set
