THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

37723 - that sort of rubbish is exactly why this thread has lost the plot .... it could be fun and interesting, but instead, it has become the home of the soapbox ranters, so that any interesting comments or views are swamped within 30 minutes ....great shame

Haystack - 04 Mar 2014 20:15 - 37725 of 81564

New Populus online poll out which shows Labour’s lead over the Conservatives being cut to 3%:

Conservative 34% (up 1%)
Labour 37% (down 1%)
Lib Dem 10% (up 1%)
UKIP 12% (down 1%)

The child pornography won't affect the polls. It was number 10 that called the police.

goldfinger - 04 Mar 2014 20:28 - 37730 of 81564

Cyners you mean you are slowing down. It was all tounge in cheek anyway.

Lets not forget we were swamped on a far bigger scale last week by the blues brothers pumping the Harman smear which now turns up to have just been a cover up for this Tory sleaze.

goldfinger - 04 Mar 2014 20:29 - 37731 of 81564

LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL

Hays read the poll again,it as already affected the polls and its only early days.

Haystack - 04 Mar 2014 20:29 - 37732 of 81564

The Harman story was a real scandal.

Haystack - 04 Mar 2014 20:32 - 37733 of 81564

The UK polling report site has this comment
lThe Labour lead of nine points is higher than YouGov have shown of late, but as ever, don’t get too excited about individual polls apparently showing movement, more often than not they’ll turn out to just be normal sample variation.

I am beginning to think that you are as silly as Fred. It is so pleasant not seeing his posts.

doodlebug4 - 04 Mar 2014 20:53 - 37736 of 81564

You lot have been going at it hammer and tongs since daybreak - time to chill out chaps, or is it just a question now of who is going to have the last word?!!!!!!!!!!!

cynic - 04 Mar 2014 20:58 - 37737 of 81564

sticky - i didn't follow last week's crap either ....both episodes are really just smear campaigns from one side or the other, though certainly HH handled it very badly

Chris Carson - 04 Mar 2014 21:14 - 37738 of 81564

David Moyes - Football Genius! :O)

Fred1new - 04 Mar 2014 21:35 - 37739 of 81564

I think Hays is getting hazier.
---------
But I think Patrick Rock has not been charged.

I think it preferable to wait and see whether he is and whether he is tried and found guilty or innocent.

Otherwise we are lowering ourselves to the same level as some in the newspaper world and some elements of the tory party.

If he has a case to answer then so be it, but I dislike lynch mobs.
=======

However, if it comes to trial then it will probably be in the public arena at the time of the next election.

As far as Harriet Harman is concerned I do not think she has to apologise for anything regarding her relationship with the said group.

Because you are in the audience it doesn’t mean that agree with the views, or actions of the speakers.

It was a smear attempt by a malevolent group to smear her and it has backfired.

Fred1new - 04 Mar 2014 22:08 - 37740 of 81564

Just to reassure Haze that he is on the the wrong planet:

4/3/2014

Topline figures are CON 30%(-2), LAB 38%(+5), LDEM 10%(+1), UKIP 11%(-3)

But I am sure he has some excuse or explanation for them.

He will have to check first with party headquarters for the new mantra.

MaxK - 04 Mar 2014 23:42 - 37741 of 81564

The cabinet, and what they do all day....

Haystack - 04 Mar 2014 23:52 - 37742 of 81564

That looks more similar to the shadow cabinet.

MaxK - 04 Mar 2014 23:55 - 37743 of 81564

Both in reality I suspect.
