Been in and out of these since Jan 2005 in ISA. Done very well for me. Have also traded them.
The fundies are not quite what they were. Hmm.

as a shareholder I always look for mention of that magic word...DIVIDEND...even if none is paid...did I miss it in these results...ERT seem to have a super portfolio to sell to 170 countries, but results do not appear in cash...is this just me being paranoid?
can anyone set me right, should I cut my losses or hold for the millenium? any advice gratefully received.

Sorry I am out of these as perversely stated Im just keeping the thread going, here are a couple of pros and con posts from another board on todays results.
Funnily enough, I agree in that ER does have the goods - but clearly not the management to deliver them. Surely that Saga-lout Heap, with his outrageous bonuses must go? Him and that Bunbury of a non-existant Chairman Bransgrove. Let the younger blood rise and this company could have excellent long-term prospects. But right now, these results reflect the fact that Heap is seriously past his sell-by date and should be replaced.
It's a shame that they've tried to bump up these results with news of what seems to be a very good distribution deal. Time for a change of PR too.
If ever a company was ripe for takeover, this is it. But can we trust Heap not to screw up? No, because he knows the first thing to go under a new regime will be him. The institutions should be baying for his blood right now. The ordinary shareholders certainly are.
I tend to disagree with the results being poor, YES if you are after a quick buck on the gamble of the results.
"Whilst ER's financial performance has historically been weighted to the second half, this will be more evident in
2006. The Board remains confident that ER is on course to meet market
expectations for the full year."
You have got to remember that they are now reporting figures as and when they get paid, this was not the case last year so it does look somewhat reduced.
I am still suspicious of the 20million buy/sell recently if they were sells then surely the price would have tanked further, if they were buys then I think could be some stake building.

This was debated on BBC radio this morning. The public are outraged they could do this to Rupert.
Could this be why the shareprice has steadily fallen lately and again today.

Driver yours 26th
Thanks for assessment which was very helpful .... I'm rather confused as you start by saying "I am out of these" and end by saying "I am a happy holder" or did I miss something.
However the present downward trend in quote as we go towards year end is not encouraging.

I am holder. I bought in cheap but in line with Tipton.
I am also looking for the word dividend.
Thinking of taking profits before the results.
