Sefton Resources - a SCREAMING BUY at this price - small-cap oil producer (SER)

mjr1234 - 10 Nov 2005 12:44

This stock looks like the most undervalued oil company on the stock exchange. >
Sefton Resources epic SER. It is currently trading at a price of 0.275p valueing the whole company at just 4M.

You might look at the market cap and assume that this company is just an explorer or a shell, but in fact Sefton is producing over 6000 barrels of oil per month with a monthly revenue of over $300k. It's recent work on it's Tapia oilfield exceeded expectations, meaning the company hit it's 200BOPD target 5 months early, and is now expecting resource and production estimates to be further upgraded. This is before it embarks on a steam-assisted programme early next year which
could see production rates multiplied 2-4 times! It is also looking at drilling further wells on the rich Tapia field in the light of the better than expected results.

So why is it only valued at 4M? The primary reason is lack of awareness of the stock, the sub-1p price puts many people off straight away, and a large overhang.

A year or so ago the company was put in financial dire straits by a
well blowout and had to undertake large discounted placings to get
itself back on track, which it has done with a vengeance. However,
some of these placing shares, which represent some 25% of the company
are being sold into the market, depressing the price so that despite the fact that the companies prospects have improved dramatically over
the past year, the price has dropped by nearly 60%.

This makes the company an absolute bargain at these rock-bottom prices. In 6 months time I expect this to be worth 3-5 times the current price. SERIOUSLY.

There is plenty of research to get your teeth into, the best place to start is the website :

www.seftonresources.com

There are 2 excellent articles on Sefton on the following website by Ian Mclelland (Jan/Feb 2006) - well worth a read to get up to speed on this company and it's prospects:

cellby,

BLR has hardly any production compared to SER, and as far as I know hasn't got the gas and possible CBM prospects that SER has. The two aren't comparable in my view.

cellby - 31 Jan 2006 19:17 - 379 of 1047

mjr1234 i agre think ser should be at least same price 1.5-2p as blr and when the profits start should leaVe the old 6p highs behind. i haVe been in these for 2years always thought they could do it.are you saying they could come up to csh price.

cellby, there seems to be a consistent trend in the sp - with appreciation followed by a downward trends. So alot of money to be made in the short term! I only have small exposure in this stock, and want to get back on if the sp drops to 0.28-.30.......

jameel06,

No offence, but you've got it wrong there. This is no good for short-term trading due to the spread. It is only good with a buy-and-hold strategy with a view to 6-12 months+ timeframe. This is the way to make real money with this stock.

If you want to day-trade try spread-betting FTSE stocks or commodities. The risk is massively reduced and the reward is amplified by trading on margin.

No proper "traders" trade penny shares. Trying it will only lead to heavy losses in the long run as I have found to my peril. The heady gains you get one week are eventually outweighed by the shocking losses you get the next. BUY AND HOLD.

mjr1234 - 01 Feb 2006 17:26 - 385 of 1047

.

mbugger - 01 Feb 2006 17:39 - 386 of 1047

SP. spread was .25/.45 afew minutes ago, then checked amin. later spread at .32/.36,whats going on, any views.

mjr1234 - 01 Feb 2006 17:47 - 387 of 1047

Closing price was 0.32/0.36.

After close, the prices on some sites such as this one and iii often go wrong.

It is to do with the last MM to log-off, ie the .25/.45 will be the spread of that MM.

fletch64,

Read the thread header for a start, and read the website and Oilbarrel.com

This is about to take off big time over the next few weeks, and I think we will see a new 1-year high within a month.

fletch61 - 01 Feb 2006 18:45 - 389 of 1047

mjr1234 why is potatohead posting sell

mjr1234 - 01 Feb 2006 18:49 - 390 of 1047

Oh right sorry! I didn't see potatoheads post because he is "squelched" (for obvious reasons).

mjr1234 - 01 Feb 2006 18:50 - 391 of 1047

Do yo use ADVFN by the way? The thread on there is a lot better than this one, with a lot more posters and info on it.

cellby - 01 Feb 2006 18:56 - 392 of 1047

could he haVe a short out on ser or is it to small a company for shorting.we are bit down again today but there are buyers in at .35-.37 thats encouraging.

mjr1234 - 01 Feb 2006 19:06 - 393 of 1047

You cannot short this, he is either working for an investor who wants PI's to sell so he can buy more at a cheaper price, or he's just an infantile d*ckhead.

I'm going for the latter.

cellby - 01 Feb 2006 19:26 - 394 of 1047

may be he could get some sellers interested with a bit more content to his posts,i will try myself ,eVery body sell so i can get sum cheap shares thanks, that should do it.

moonshine - 01 Feb 2006 19:59 - 395 of 1047
