juzzle, We could have a team called 'The Welsh Sagas' i suppose, but whether 8 ball would want to be associated with Saga is up to him, he's just a young fellow by all accounts? Our other Welshy is Stormy but he has not yet signed up for the game. Are any other players here with a Welsh connection?

I think if we go to allowing world markets, Golddog would need to redefine what counts as weekend.. which might complicate life? (Other exchanges closing so much later Friday or opening earlier Monday.. hence 'selection window' would need to close at midnight Sunday to avoid unfair advantage in markets that open earlier on Monday morning.. and price updates would not get completed simultaneously at Friday close). Just thinking aloud..

PS: Golddog - I think you should maybe set a midnight Sunday (or 10pm?) deadline anyway, otherwise you will be hard put to get entries updated if still arriving premarket on Monday mornings?

Just a quick note to remind everyone that GoldDog is giving up a lot of his valuable time to run this game. It takes a lot of organising, so let's all give both GD and the game the support that they deserve by making it a huge success.

Trading Game Rules

1. This is a weekly Ftse shares stock picking Game.
2. Everyone begins with 50,000 of which you can invest in up to 3 separate stocks. You can invest all in just one stock or split your funds however you desire.
3. You may go long or short on a stock. You post all trades on the trading thread stating epic and how much you want to invest either long or short. GoldDog will take care of the rest.
4. If you long (l) a stock you will buy the share at the offer price and sell at the bid price based on Moneyam prices.
5. If you short a stock (s) you will buy the share at the bid price and sell at the offer price based on Moneyam prices. In other words you want the share price to drop.
6. Because this is a weekly game you must hold your investments for the entire working week before you can make new trades. At the end of Friday 4:30pm you can sell your current stocks, and/or buy new stocks.
7. You must sell the full quantity of shares in each stock.
8. If you buy more shares in a stock you already have, it will be classed as a new trade and will not be added to an existing stock.
9. All new trades must be posted on the trading thread before Sunday 12pm Noon. Any trades after this time will be ignored.
10. If a stock is suspended then your trade in this stock is also put on hold. You cannot short a stock knowing that it will be suspended or bankrupt ect as stated maybe in a news report during the weekend, this constitutes cheating!
11. GoldDog will update the new trades on Sunday evenings and you may view your new trades in your table. The Leaderboard will also be updated.
12. When GoldDog gets chance he will update tables and leaderboards during the week.
13. This initial Game will run for 8 weeks and please be aware that GoldDog can make mistakes so keep track of your own trades and transactions. And please ask any questions.
14. There is no prize just the honour of winning.
15. To make the game a little more fun there are teams with 3 players in each, so even if you do badly on your own you may be top with your team.
16. If you think there should be any other rules let me know.
17. GoldDog has the right to justify trades and make decisions on whether a trade is viable. If you think someone is cheating then let me know, usually it’s just a harmless mistake.
