katcenka - 03 Nov 2005 12:42

Geosim's 3D-city models enable:

Integration with tourist attractions and information kiosks.
Virtual tours for trip planning and familiarization with places of interests; customized multimedia and interactive solutions.
E-commerce compatability for booking rooms, dinner reservations, purchasing theater tickets and more.
Integration with custom 3D indoor models for tourism related locations (such as museums, hotels, restaurants etc.).

does sound like what yahoo are chasing or is it MSN

MSN Virtual Earth To Take On Google Earth

Microsoft sends news today that founder Bill Gates has announced a MSN Virtual Earth service is to debut in the summer. The service is promised to provide:

Satellite images with 45-degree-angle views of buildings and neighborhoods

Satellite images with street map overlays

Ability to add local data layers, such as showing local businesses or restaurants
The service will allow users to choose from a number of different data types plus allow people to contribute their own information. The announcement came today at the D3 conference happening this week.

Here are some screenshots from the service to come. You can click on the first to make it larger:

Which Sharesmag statement is correct:

September 05
i. the stake could have gone for a higher
price but did not because Brainspark had failed to
appreciate the full value of Geosim or

November 05
ii Once the identity of the mystery
buyer is revealed and it is unlikely that either Microsoft or Google will
come in for it, especially at this stage the share price is likely to drop
back to pre-bid levels. ?

err I think someone has asked share mag to terrify some holders out of there shares... november issue has full of mistakes, its says google have 3d landscape company Keyhole so wont need Geosim, problem is Geosim dont do 3D landscape, they do 3D cities which google desperately need... it also say google are not interested in making any aquisitions... thats wrong also, there is an article about google wishing to spend $7bil on making aquisitions. the article also said the price may drop to prebid levels once the announcement comes out, who ever wrote that article clearly knows nothing about Geosim and did not do his research correctly, the august RNS states we will get more than $10mil for geosim... Good try Sharemag... but you made yourselves look stupid, you have now contridicted yourselves re the september issue, maybe Google wont get geosim, maybe not microsoft, but maybe its Yahoo or AOL. anyway shares are about risk reward... personally if there is any selling I will just top up more on the cheap, as we know Geosim is going for more than 10mil ;-), and ACS is to be announced and also easyart is intending to go on the AIM...
