If you're having any problems, or want to suggest some improvements, please post below!
Level2 changes
In the last few weeks we've needed to implement some code changes to make us compliant with the LSE's rules on the access of Level2 data.
The following requirement is now in place:
You can only use 1 program on 1 computer to access Level2 on MoneyAM using a single username.
This means that you are able to view as many Level2 windows using any one particular browser, or program, that you wish, however you will not be able to use both Firefox and Internet Explorer at the same time (the same goes for using Quote Tracker or TradeSeeker at the same time as viewing it using a web browser)
If you find you're being logged off of MoneyAM's Level2 with the message 'you've logged on from another location' then check the above and make sure you're not running any other programs at the same time before reporting this as a bug.

On the market scan page I like to look at the biggest % risers / fallers. I also like to know if the fall / rise is news driven. So please add an indicator to show if there has been a news item that day.

Trades data
(1) seems unduly delayed...clock (top left hand corner reads "12.06.54" with latest trade entry reading "12.13". This implies a delay of up to 6 minutes which is way too much. The "clock/trade delay" on advfn was invariably a max of 3 minutes which is tolerable. Please confirm whether or not a 6 minute delay exists and if you can shorten this. To me, speed as well as accuracy of data is vital..no point if other data providers are much faster in this area.
(2) can only be updated by reclicking "trades" or refresh button...this is text not streaming as with advfn. Have I missed a button to turn on streaming? As it stands, text makes for easy reading of data in a fast market compared to continuous streaming when the data is almost constantly moving down the page, but not sure that integrates too well with a DDE transmission platform (see (3) below).
(3) will you be able to provide DDE transmission? If so, will it be excel compatible? A computer based proprietary trader will almost always use DDE. To my knowledge, this is provided by sharescope, proquote and e-signal who are charging $106pm plus xchge fees.
Hope these questions help and thanks in advance.

Toml: thanks for the feedback:
1)The trades are OK but our clock is duff!!!
2)The trades are live and should be streaming. The drop down box on that page has a live stream header. Other drop downs are indeed html
3)We are looking at DDE link after launch in mid-Jan.

ipenning....
Good morning Ian.
No changes made here. If things are working I tend not to bugger about with them. :) Everything worked when I switched off one night but didn't the next morning.
Connection is via 64k ISDN, which is as good as it is going to get around here for a long time to come. BT has promised ADSL at about the same time as the next Ice Age
Since the last time you looked at it, with the holidays I forget exactly when that was, I now have all the headers, the two columns of icons, the up/down arrows and the epic codes back, but no data. The trafic light is green and it tells me that I am "Connected to Stream".
The Java error message looks a bit shorter as well, and says:-
12/31/2002 @ 11:36:40

I already posted this to Bullshare, but to reiterate here, everything looks great but there is a bug in Internet Explorer 5.1 for Mac OS. When you click on My Account using IE 5.1 Mac it cycles between the stop refresh and print buttons, appears to be looking for a piece of code.

Couple of problems on Trades data that you should know about:-
(1) Just tried to log into streaming trades for vod without success. Time(latest first) does work but failed test .v. advfn (see below)
(2)Am accessing MoneyAM on my desktop Pentium 4 and advfn on my slave desktop Pentium 2 to compare delivery of crucial time and sales data. To overcome problem at (1), for comparative purposes, I measured the time difference by waiting for an advfn streamed update on vod and then immediately pressed "go" on MoneyAM Trades for vod to observe the very latest time/sales data shown. 2 measurements were taken and the results are summarised below:-
Trade No. size. Time. source.
177 2148 08.47:25 advfn
173 90 08.45:16 moneyAM
time/data difference 2:09 minutes behind.
196 416000 08.49:15 advfn
174 247330 08.46:13 moneyAM
time/data difference 3:02 minutes behind.
Please check this sample out for yourselves and try out others. I believe it highly probable that there is a problem here.
Would appreciate knowing what is causing this kind of delay and whether or not it can be fixed. Thanks.

TomL; We will certainly take a look. I know the techies were talking to Finexpress(our data suppliers) about this very subject.

Cant get into Stockwatch at all this morning. The system forces me to login a 2nd time but then takes me to the moneyam homepage instead of stockwatch!

I also would prefer to see a clearer 'RED' for 'SELLS' on the stock watch monitor, would also like to click on the Company name and be directed to a BB only for that stock.

Morning all. First time over here!
I've had a look at one or two things, and it looks great so far. Couple of things I've noticed:
Check out Amey's trades today. The first major sell seems to be 20,000 at 31p, but then the total sells on the next trade only registers something like 9,000 sold.
On the news, MoneyAM's own news doesn't have any connection to the related share. Again, Amey's chief exec is being paid ?202,000 according to MoneyAM and AFX. The AFX news hits 7 minutes (9.17 am) after the MoneyAM news. The AFX news relates it to Amey, but the MoneyAM news doesn't.
Hope this makes sense, and please note, I'm not trading Amey!!!!
Cheers
Chas

I've found something else.
I've looked at the fundamentals page - and yes, I decided to choose Amey as the share! The dividends displayed at the bottom do not include all interims and finals - only some of them are there.
Apologies if some or all of these points have already been raised, but I don't have time to read all 395 posts of suggestions - got a proper living to earn!

Chaspebble. Thanks for the feedback will take a look.
Robber; The area is now underwater big time. Kids are having a 'whale' of a time. Roads all closed around us. Now all we need is 10ft of snow and that would make for a wonderful combined ski and water holiday:-)

PE ratios for av. and barc are miles out and no turnover figures. Think its the eps figures that are spoiling the calculation.
All aboard the ark :-)
