THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

sticky - you are getting like fossy .... try answering my specific question about the passing on of council housing to one's extended family

Haystack - 11 Mar 2014 13:53 - 38001 of 81564

https://www.gov.uk/council-housing/types-of-tenancy

Transferring your tenancy

Secure and flexible tenants may be able to transfer a tenancy to someone else, or, in some circumstances, pass on a tenancy to someone when they die.

Secure tenancies granted before 1 April 2012 can be transferred or passed on only once. For example, if you take over a tenancy when someone dies, you can’t pass on the tenancy to someone else when you die.

Joint Tenancies

If one joint tenant dies, the tenancy continues for the surviving tenant(s).

Some secure and flexible tenancies granted from 1 April 2012 may mean you can transfer or pass on your tenancy more than once - check your tenancy agreement.

Cyners he as much right as anyone else.

Simple as that.

I dont know the rules and regs but if they are actualy living in the house are you really saying they should be asked to leave?????.

Have they lived their in the past eg, as children and moved as they got older??

I dont know the circumstances and Im dammed sure their are more important things in life politics and economics that need putting to right.

goldfinger - 11 Mar 2014 14:03 - 38003 of 81564

Well their you are Hays as posted the terms and conditions. (posts crossed)

Are they breaking rules?

If they are they should be kicked out.

Not kicked out just because it doesnt suit your ideology.

goldfinger - 11 Mar 2014 14:05 - 38004 of 81564

Fact is Labour dont need to win the next election they should just sit back and watch the Tories throw it away.

goldfinger - 11 Mar 2014 14:20 - 38005 of 81564

Come on Cyners answer my last question what have they done wrong??????

Fred1new - 11 Mar 2014 14:35 - 38006 of 81564

I think just as much Nigel is and gargoyle emblem for the Kipper party, Nigel is also emblematic of the current tory party.

Hazie and Manuel get down on your knees for one of your leaders.

========

What is not strange is Manuel's and Hazie opinion which as usual seems based on bile and little knowledge of Crow himself, paint a different picture of him from those who knew him.

Like the little etonian mob destroying the decent standards of the country they seem to be detached common reality.

===

GF,

Was Labour only 6% ahead of the cons.

Should give them an 60+ majority.

But I agree Labour doesn't have to do much other than watch the torrid party turn on itself and implode.

goldfinger - 11 Mar 2014 14:42 - 38007 of 81564

Indeed indeed Fred.

Labour can just sit back and watch the bafoons make a complete cock up of everything.

Its that easy, it really is.

Fred1new - 11 Mar 2014 14:44 - 38008 of 81564

8-)

"-)

:-)

He Hee HEEE!

That is old etonian!

Fred1new - 11 Mar 2014 14:48 - 38009 of 81564

Any chance of Nigel's case lasting until the next election.

Hear the Maroon is telling his party to try and keep their problems in their own trousers.

Bring back Edwinea, she will sort the boys out.

Chance there for Manuel and Hazie!

goldfinger - 11 Mar 2014 14:53 - 38010 of 81564

Edwinea........hays could meet her in a food bank.

Hope shes got cement on them false teeth for Hays sake.

goldfinger - 11 Mar 2014 15:03 - 38011 of 81564

Thanks for all the kind comments today.

We disagreed on politics and footy but were brothers alike in many ways. We both hate injustice, two face politicians and seeing the underdog being trodden on but had different views on how that was best resolved. We shared a great sense of humour, irony and scepticism.

We both suffered in our way from supporting diverse London Clubs - I think at least with Millwall the expectations were less and so the disappointment were more sufferable.

Not a nasty streak in his body no matter how abrupt or tough he may have looked on the TV - if someone needed help he'd be the first to step up no mater what your belief, race or colour.

Puts life in perspective - remember it' only money - the wealthiest bloke is he with good health.

Thanks all.

sticky - i've been in london all day .... but here you are .....

you say "He as much right as anyone else."
absolutely so, but then everyone also has the right to take measures to avoid paying tax (probably the best analogy), to put their children through private education (frees up spaces in quality state schools) or to use private health care (frees up beds in nhs) ..... but you get very hot under the collar about all of those

you can wriggle and squirm, as i am sure you will, but there really is no difference at all

Haystack - 11 Mar 2014 17:47 - 38014 of 81564

There are Lab politicians and supporters who avoid tax. There are LabMPs who use private education and private medical care. It is what people do if they can afford it.
