How would you like to trade a market where you get large regular price swings every 10 minutes in the afternoon, seven days a week. A
market where all prices are set purely by supply and demand, few transaction costs, no middle men and you only pay commission if you win? Where you can freely act as a market maker and where you have direct market access and where you can create a spread for others to take?
Betfair has revolutionised the betting market and created an open platform for exchanging risk on sports events. This market is now viewed much more like a traditional financial risk market than an old fashioned betting market. Smart users have realised that there are huge opportunities on Betfair because they can buy and sell risk in much the same way they would in a normal financial market but without the burden of cost or the restricted access that is usually associated with traditional financial markets.

Dil, it's pretty much a certainty, as Fundy says two of the Maxskia team are not able to vote, the other team would have voted for them following the cider debacle, and Makosi is immune from her task. Saskia will go.

Hmmmm, or possibly Derek and Saskia nominated.

Hope you're right about Derek, Kayak.
I am trying to get out of a bet for Derek to go. Started backing him at 15s, now I'm averaged at 36, so nearly there.
I'm not sure I like this market as it has too many surprises. Every week I seem to have to work very hard to get out of a bad red situation.

Scrip did you get an internal email from me?

Derek has found a lot of support and probably will come in some more. The house is moving to a more 'sensible' phase in its development as it quietens down.

Well that doesn't seem to suggest that Derek has been nominated.

Maxwell is lengthening again on the evictions market. It could be just profit taking. Up to now there's been no sign of a leak.

Ah no, it was just some speculation on Digital Spy that Maxwell might not be up.

Just noticed that tonight is the first evening without racing (except sundays) for a while

I wish
been caught twice on the racing so far today so having a down day
the last one the horse was beaten until the one in front stumbled badly and all but threw the jockey off

Tell me about it. I was on the opposing side. Thought I'd got away with it then it stumbled and my loss came in!

I didn't manage to unload Derek completely today. Taking a small loss, unless he gets nominated which seems unlikely now.

Afternoon All,
Men's QF today. Not much value in backing Fed or Roddick. Missed out on Hewitt but some smart money seems to have gone on Nalbandian. Been watching the odds over the last 2 days. Bandy's odds have shortened from 1.73/74 to 1.67/68 whereas no change on others.
Johannson is the oldest in the qf line up and has surprised many by getting so far. Today will be a much tougher game against a better opponent.

I was mulling laying Federer for the match and backing him for the tournament. If there is a shock in the other qtrs then his price would come in a fair bit. If he wins then his price will come in anyhow.
