If you're having any problems, or want to suggest some improvements, please post below!
Level2 changes
In the last few weeks we've needed to implement some code changes to make us compliant with the LSE's rules on the access of Level2 data.
The following requirement is now in place:
You can only use 1 program on 1 computer to access Level2 on MoneyAM using a single username.
This means that you are able to view as many Level2 windows using any one particular browser, or program, that you wish, however you will not be able to use both Firefox and Internet Explorer at the same time (the same goes for using Quote Tracker or TradeSeeker at the same time as viewing it using a web browser)
If you find you're being logged off of MoneyAM's Level2 with the message 'you've logged on from another location' then check the above and make sure you're not running any other programs at the same time before reporting this as a bug.

Maddoctor,
Thanks for letting me know - I have not been able to reproduce it myself, did it just happen when you entered the investors room, or on a specific thread?

Maddoctor,
Thanks again, looks like it was off the triplearc thread from a chart in there. We have sorted it out,
cheers

Ian
Due to the changes detailed at the top of this page, I have found myself watching inert Level2 screens on a couple of occasions, without realising(usually after one of the other pages has requested me to login again for some reason).
Because I usually tile several L2 windows into a small area and just have the order strips showing, I am unable to see the connection status, without having L2 screens much larger than I want them.
As a relatively easy improvement, could you move the status "traffic light" icon(but not the accompanying text) to a position between the "BUY ORDERS" and "SELL ORDERS" titles?
I'll then know at all times whether my L2 is alive or dead, without anything OTT intruding on the useful info.

dell, you may have already tried this but have you tried selecteing the small function on L2 which gives you a smaller view which you could then minimise even more to just include the parts you want and the traffic light?

Ian - I have tried using "small" size for my L2 windows but, unless you've changed it recently, you then lose the option to view trade details, without having to change and then wait for a standard window to load up.
My own approach is to reduce a standard L2 window and then quickly drag it to a larger size, if I want to look at trades or other figures in more detail.
It's what works best for me, anyhow, and I thought moving the status icon would enable myself and anyone else using reduced windows to always know if their window is live.
Cheers,
dell

dell,
I will pass this onto the developers to see whether it is something they can change at some point in the future,

dell,
Already prodded our supplier - sorry should have let you know.
There does seem to be a lack of RNS which they are now looking into for me - I will update you as soon as our supplier gets back to me,

Ian :
Can you not change the squelch facility in such a way that you dont even
see the threads started by posters you have "squelched"
I have squelched suehelen and haystack, 2 very not well liked posters from
advfn yet their thread titles still show up on the screen.
I know advfn does it so you never see them again, can you do the same ?

Mackem,
With a squelched user the name will not show on a thread that you are viewing, so your reading of that thread is not disrupted with blank spaces under that name. if it is a thread they have started it doesn't in my opinion interfere too much in what you are reading so there is no need for the thread not to be there.
If you squelched someone, and any thread they started did not appear, you would then never see anything posted to this thread by anyone. We feel it is more user friendly this way.

qwento,
It looks like some butter fingers has entered a wrong trade:
12/10/05 12:48 164852.0 50,000 O 1658.0 1660.0 Buy 1,473,760 1,300,014 80,397
This is showing on L2 as the trade high which to all intesive purposes at this moment is correct.
I would therefore asume that the minus figure on Level 1 has been generated due to this trade, so I will get the guys to take a look at the L1 system to see whether there is anything they can do to amend this.

qwento,
This has now been corrected to the official trade high as detailed above. I imagine someone is desperately trying to contra that deal :)

Ian. re (PET)
The trade figures (buy/sale) seem to have had a memory lapse at 08:32 this morning.
I don't think there was any restart . Is there any way to sort these out.
Graeme.

GRAEME,
I will get the guys to take a look into it - we have had no downtime, but if there was a slight break in the feed from our suppliers, it may be hard to recover that data.
I will conatct you when we have taken a look
