ASOS: BUY AT LOW PRICE!!!! (ASC)

wilco99 - 12 Sep 2003 15:52

ASOS have dropped quite significantly in the past week for no particular reason and I view this as the perfect opportunity to invest as I can see them bouncing right back up to the 5.50p mark in the next 2-3 weeks. STRONG BUY!!

* Q4 retail sales + 34% year on year (UK +4%, international +63%)
* Retail gross margin significantly ahead year on year
* FY profit before tax and exceptional items expected to be in line with expectations
* Approach the new financial year with confidence

a bit parson's egg or worse i would have thought ...... the opening bell will reveal

:)Rather close will do..

cynic - 26 Apr 2012 08:08 - 3812 of 5941

market is clearly as impressed with ASC as it was with SGP ..... no doubt our local fou savant will have gone heavily short yesterday

tomasz - 26 Apr 2012 08:25 - 3813 of 5941

For the first time have to admit that im disappointed with numbers!

cynic - 26 Apr 2012 08:29 - 3814 of 5941

i lost my personal bet ..... thought you were going to post how you had topped up even further (holding now say 250,000?) at about 1400, which was certainly very possible

============

in honesty, i hope you are not excessively burnt, but you do rather ask to have been

tomasz - 26 Apr 2012 09:19 - 3815 of 5941

Spread got stopped 1560 so not bad compared to where it could be now, share got red dwarf effect some 25% down, will recover later,so no massive drama.but..overall hopeless joke and wow effect gone..lol

cynic - 26 Apr 2012 09:29 - 3816 of 5941

really; i'm very surprised you managed/afforded/bothered to get a GUARANTEED stop at that level - i assume the system is the same as with CFDs ..... if so, and it wasn't guaranteed, then you'ld have been stopped out at about 1360 (NOT 1560) when the market opened

tomasz - 26 Apr 2012 09:34 - 3817 of 5941

Meanwhile things goes on.., and bulls cant go below 1442 today for me to get any sense out of this mess.btw cynic, today drop is partly your fault because too much your negativity here.will speak outside later..

tomasz - 26 Apr 2012 09:51 - 3818 of 5941

A margin call stop.baby, been too smart.my broker will not be happy.sorry for that, still love you all there :)

cynic - 26 Apr 2012 10:26 - 3819 of 5941

i can't be bothered to check, but i'ld be very surprised indeed if your broker also acted as your nursemaid ..... sp closed last night at 1597 and opened this morning at +/-1360, and unless i am much mistaken, that is the level at which you would have been closed out

cynic - 26 Apr 2012 11:07 - 3820 of 5941

strange - no response; i wonder why ..... perhaps he's rushed off to knight frank to put his country estate on the market at a fire sale price

tomasz - 26 Apr 2012 11:28 - 3821 of 5941

Unless you mistaken..?you got to be kidding me...:) you got to be long or short with that claim.not somewhere in the middle.these undirectional mumblings got no electricity.things not working grey- ish way here

cynic - 26 Apr 2012 11:35 - 3822 of 5941

cut the shit; you're more than capable of writing proper english, so kindly do so ..... if you want me to check then i shall, though as many of the members on this board use s/b (i don't), they will be able to tell me whether my premise was right or wrong

tomasz - 26 Apr 2012 11:37 - 3823 of 5941

Been in a car shopping for nice chicken and pork and lamb for barbecue later, not selling any house

tomasz - 26 Apr 2012 12:01 - 3824 of 5941

Did you ever consider yourself to be on the position/state of mind/wealth/knowledge not capable/jble to find the truth for yourself?

tomasz - 26 Apr 2012 12:03 - 3825 of 5941

capable/able

cynic - 26 Apr 2012 12:24 - 3826 of 5941

i am perfectly capable, but am also trying to run a biz which can be slightly complex at times ...... meanwhile, i'm 97.5% certain that i am correct

robinhood - 26 Apr 2012 12:57 - 3827 of 5941

cynic i do not know why you bother- the guy is an obvious nutter

cynic - 26 Apr 2012 14:04 - 3828 of 5941

i have long followed (watched) ASC because i have always found its rating totally unjustifiable ......
anyway, just for general info, though known by most i am sure - i was 150% correct in my assertion re stops

skinny - 26 Apr 2012 15:15 - 3829 of 5941

150% correct - that's some trick! :-)
