bhunt1910 - 11 May 2005 15:07 - 3825 of 27111

I think we should introduce a swear box.

Any future reference to ii in any way, form or inuendo - with the exception of eric - who is formally monitorng him - should result in a donation of 5 to the swear box - the proceeds of which can be used when we meet up in Doncaster to ceelebrate SEO recahing 50p.

I volunteer to keeep tabs on the donations!!!!

Starting now .........

016622 - Capitalspreads only deal with the bigger co's so you can't spread bet on SEO unfortunately. I do find their system much clearer and handier to use than City Index, so worth a look.

A trip down memory lane 2004-10-13

Again on the upside, Stanelco edged up 0.25 to 4.37 after the company revealed its radio frequency (RF) sealing technology will be trialled for use in the tray-lidding machines at Oscar Mayer's food packaging operations.

If the trials are successful, the technology will enter into full-scale production across Oscar Mayer's entire range of tray-lidding machines in the UK.

Oscar Mayer, which supplies over 3 mln ready meals a week, has 30 tray-lidding machines in three locations in the UK.

And what happened next - nothing - they could not get orders from the food packagers direct - so tried to go above them and get someone to tell them to change - oh dear - must be something wrong with it !!

Salmon sales up ?

I wonder why ?

Smoked salmon products promoted
Date: Tue, 01 Feb 05 Type: DirectNews Item
Analysis
A new booklet has been produced to help promote the smoked salmon industry in the UK.

A free copy of 'The little book of Smoked Salmon' is available in supermarkets and retailers that belong to the Scottish Quality Salmon (SQS) club.

The guide provides information on the salmon smoking process, storage, selection and preparation.

SQS chief executive Brian Simpson explained to Fish Update: "The little book of Smoked Salmon is a delightful reminder for consumers that the very best smoked salmon comes from Scottish Quality Salmon members.

"It will help shoppers make sure that the salmon they are buying really is Scottish as well as providing some useful guidance on how to use it."

A total of 30,000 copies of the booklet are now in circulation and are supported with in-store posters.

Bosley, P is a protected portfolio.

All (except some!): we need to put concerted efforts on the BB's and SEO to take action against deliberately misleading posts. Some could be heading towards the libellous end of the spectrum where these call into question the integrity of the Board. SEO is very fortunate in having Elizabeth Filkin as senior NED and she certainly has an excellent reputation for integrity having resigned from a previous position on a point of principle/ethics.

Watch out you lot I have joined the champ investor, you all kept it a bit quite no doubt you all wanted a head start, I am well down so far but I will catch up.

Bos
That wasn't you that bought 100000 last minute at 0820 today was it, 50k up by the end of the day, not bad.

deancroft - 11 May 2005 20:35 - 3836 of 27111

For anyone reading post 3832, ASDA is not listed as a member of the SQS club. On the official SQS website (w3.scottishsalmon.co.uk) only Morrisons and Safeway are mentioned as participating supermarkets but not listed as members. Most of the SQS members are in fact fish processors and fishmongers. Pleased to satisfy myself a case of deliberate manipulation of genuine information for disinformation purposes.

Strong close on Wall Street so promising for tomorrow. I would be interested to have andysmith's (in particular) comments on the RNS yesterday. The trials process at suppliers does seem to be longer than expected, at least by SEO and therefore by us. The big plus is the depth of the process and thus the increased level of commitment by ASDA to exploit the technology. Its as if a broader base is being drawn on which a larger structure can be built. It may mean more patience in seeing the numbers coming through, meaning weeks rather than days. Instead we should have results from further trials at Young Bluecrest and at Hitchens Foods. These will lead to more positive press comment in business and trade press and the investment base also broadening. We need to watch the charts as the trading pattern could change, as it did last time from a triangle to a flag, and that could be over a longer time period. The first conclusion is that patience may be needed. The second is that the break-out, when it comes, could be very convincing. That break-out could be caused by the commercial figures from ASDA, progress with Wal-mart, projections for Frogpack or some combination of these. Seymour Pierce and Evolution projections are still relatively rudimentary; I suspect that three months from now, these will be much better informed and could well be much more aggressive. SEO is a very popular stock with the small investor, but it cannot be long before it becomes a must have for any growth fund. As an investor, as opposed to a trader, a really major point for SEO is that there is so little risk given the agreement already signed with ASDA - you only need to see the pathetic attempts by a certain person to appreciate how strong the investment case is for SEO.
