Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).
Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.
cheers GF.

HS2
RF - you forget france is at least 4x larger than uk with the same population, so not really comparable
that said, i will admit that the current high speed link that goes through kent is not especially intrusive and though it would very "nice" if we did not need HS2, i am coming round to the idea that it is

H everyone,
Does anyone know how I can complain against my broker?
I have an account with saxobank, they made mistake in applying corporate action which resulted in my loss.. While I was in contact with their UK branch, they asked a debt collector forcing me to pay. By the time I received the letter, I have four days to pay them.
I complained again, but they say it takes three weeks to process, and no one in the UK branch can help and they do not give me contact details of people in Denmark.
What can I do?

Hays Sports Direct is a listed company as you jolly well know. John Mann MP asked 2 specific detailed questions.
We also know now why that the top 1% pay 30 % of the tax and is not enough.
I say well done to the Guardian for raising the issue. What really should be done now is see how this position as changed over the last four 4 years or was it just as bad under labour........having said that that isnt an excuse.

phone saxobank uk and/or denmark and demand to speak to a director, and don't take no for an answer.
if that gets you nowhere, then suggest you get your solicitor to fire off a formal letter immdiately to both uk and danish banks

Thank you Cynic.
The said someone in complaint department will contact me ASAP.
The problem is that I don't know when.
Their mistake resulted in Margin Call, and losing so much money.

that's a load of bullshit!
you need the organ grinder and tell the numpty receptionist or whoever they put you through to, that legal action could be instigated imminently so it behoves them to put you through to a director
don't forget to get all names and rank as you get passed along the line, and remind them that you are keeping a log of the call(s)
don't put up with the usual rubbish and delaying tactics!

Max,
The cash is going to those of his own ilk.

Ahoj,
As Cynic suggests.
If you are sure of your position, then solicitor.
Contact by e-mail and phone.
Telling them that you are recording the conversation and "gently" informing them of the facts. (If you haven't taping facilities pen, paper and pencil will have to do.)
If you are trading by inter-net then ask them for a copy of the times, sizes and directions of your transactions. (Normal trading pattern,)
Ask them for time to consider their information and stating that you will reply in specific time period.
But bear in mind the outlay of doing the above.
Good Luck!

Its what hes doing now hays that counts like Mann MP says.
If were comparing like with like thats the only way you can look at it.
Like I said if theirs been a big change since Torys came to power then it should be investigated and if not labour are just as guilty as the Tories.

What does it mattter what he does with his money now He made it starting and running a successful business. He is now enjoying his money. Do you begrudge him his money? That looks like envy. Maybe you should look at sportsmen lik footballers. It is all market forces. The father of one of my son's fiends sold his business for £32m a few years ago and he put it into high value property. Good luck to him. He still works as the MD of the company that he sold out to. He is now worth £100m+.

Any way Hays he didnt make his money by starting up sports direct he was loaned private money from influential big wig freinds (some say underground crooks) and opened ski shops in London.
A very shady character imo............and others.
Tax authorities have little history on him.
OK yep you can say hes a self made man from middle class parents but theirs always a question mark over how when he received his starting capital.
Lets face it not a great example of an entrepeneur.
