THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

goldfinger - 17 Mar 2014 17:09 - 38348 of 81564

They are this time...... an increase on all.

1.Council Tax bands G@H to be increased at least 25%

2. Mansion Tax on Houses capital value £2 million

3. Tax on public school boys and certain universitys

4. Banker tax on either A, bonus or B, taxable salary

5. Tax on Gentlemens clubs.

6. Tax increase on whiskey brandy and rum.

7. Tax on private hospitals.

8. Tax on private dentists and doctor practises

9. Top rate of tax 50% on 150,000

10. Tax on equestrian events and some golf clubs.

All this to take place in the first 5 years of government.

cynic - 17 Mar 2014 17:10 - 38349 of 81564

you really do talk a load of nonsense sticky
are you on your 2nd bottle of vino tinto already?

top rate of tax already cuts in at <£50k
it has been proven here, there and indeed pretty much everywhere, that if you tax people to the hilt, you just disincentivise them, so they take their money elsewhere

you want people to invest or spend their money within the economy, whether in goods or shares (aka savings) so for gov't to strip it off them (to misuse) merely removes it from circulation, and that helps no one at all

Haystack - 17 Mar 2014 17:17 - 38350 of 81564

I doubt that Labour will do even one on your list?

goldfinger - 17 Mar 2014 17:18 - 38351 of 81564

The redistribution of wealth will see full employment in the economy and resulting growth.

Anybody trying to leave the country on wealth grounds will have assets possessed or repossessd as they have probably stolen them in the first place.

Its coming Cynic, get used to the idea.

Bottoms up.

cynic - 17 Mar 2014 17:20 - 38352 of 81564

let's shred your nonsense a bit .....

They are this time......

1.Council Tax bands A+B to be increased at least 25%
WHY ON EARTH WOULD YOU INCREASE COUNCIL TAX (NOTHING TO DO WITH CENTRAL GOV'T ANYWAY) ON THE LOWEST BANDS?

2. Mansion Tax on Houses capital value £2 million
WHY?
THE SO-CALLED VALUE OF A HOUSE IS PURE HAPPENSTANCE
FOR EXAMPLE, I SUSPECT MY OWN HOUSE HAS A VALUE OF JUST OVER £2M (WE KNOW YOURS IS WORTH £7M BECAUSE YOU BOASTED ABOUT IT), THOUGH I PAID ABOUT £350K 25 YEARS AGO
IN THE FULLNESS OF TIME, IT WILL TAXED ANYWAY UNDER IHT

3. Tax on public school boys and certain universitys
TYPICAL DRUNKEN IDIOTIC COMMENT

4. Banker tax on either A, bonus or B, taxable salary
WHY?
IF YOU'RE A BANKER, YOU ALREADY GET TAXED
OR IN YOUR DRUNKEN STUPOR WERE YOU MIXING UP THE EMPLOYER AND EPLOYEE?

5. Tax on Gentlemens clubs.
WHAT ABOUT LADIES' CLUBS - THEY DO EXIST YOU KNOW
THEY'RE PROBABLY TAXED ANYWAY, IF THEY ARE MAKING ANY PROFIT - I THINK THEY STRUGGLE QUITE BADLY

6. Tax increase on whiskey brandy and rum.
WHY NOT ON GIN OR VODKA

7. Tax on private hospitals.
IF THEY'RE COMPANIES, THEY'LL BE TAXED ANYWAY

8. Tax on private dentists and doctor practises
MEDICAL PRACTICES ARE PARTNERSHIPS, SO EVERYONE PAYS THEIR COMMENSURATE TAX ANYWAY.
WHAT ABOUT SOLICITORS THEN?

9. Top rate of tax 50% on 150,000
THAT MAY COME IN, BUT MANY (INCLUDING ME) WILL DO THEIR BEST TO TAKE LEGAL AVOIDING ACTION OR AT LEAST MINIMISE SAME
DO YOU THINK IT WILL REALLY ADD MUCH TO THE EXCHEQUERE?
OF COURSE IT WON'T, BUT IT'S TYPICAL POLITICAL SOUNBITE CRAP

10. Tax on equestrian events and some golf clubs.
EVENTS ARE ALREADY TAXED, AS INDEED ARE GOLF CLUBS
WHAT ABOUT CLUBS FOR GREYHOUND RACING FANS OR RACING PIGEON FANCIERS?

All this to take place in the first 5 years of government.
AT LEAST "THAT LOT" WOULD THEN BE THROWN OUT PRONTO!

:-))

cynic - 17 Mar 2014 17:21 - 38353 of 81564

you really are such an arsehole, and not even funny with it :-)

Haystack - 17 Mar 2014 17:24 - 38354 of 81564

gf
You are amusing at times. I love this 'when the revolution comes' stuff. It is obvious that you are naive and gullible from past posts, but you don't have to remind us so often.

Haystack - 17 Mar 2014 17:27 - 38355 of 81564

Get better medication!

Fred1new - 17 Mar 2014 17:30 - 38356 of 81564

You reduce "welfare payments" to induce the unemployed and less able to get a job and work harder, but increase the work rate from the higher taxed by reducing tax increasing private income.

Bonkers.

======

It is reasonable for risk takers to have a decent return from their investments, but the "profits" are generally made by the utilisation of the labour of others lower down the chain.

The differential between top "earners or investors" and "wealth producers" are disproportionate.

Manuel and Hazy are living reactionaries occupying too much space.

Ps.

For somebody who is always criticising the number of post by others, he certainly is doing well himself to-day.

I wish the content of his postings had been worth reading!

8-)

Trouble is they know its getting nearer and nearer the day of judgement.

They dont like it up em Fred no they dont like it up em when "boot is on tuther foot".

THEY FEAR LABOUR TAKING AWAY THIER STOLEN PRIVILEGES.

Haystack - 17 Mar 2014 19:10 - 38358 of 81564

You cannot tax several of your targets.

Public schools are charities that cannot make profits to tax. The same goes for universities.
The other ideas are just as stupid.

It looks like the time to filter gf is fast approaching. This thread is quite pleasant with being able read Fred's comments.

goldfinger - 17 Mar 2014 19:26 - 38359 of 81564

Be my guest, filter me. Ive won the battle and you know it.

No stomach left to take me on. cluck cluck cluck.

Strange as you promised same thing with Fred last week but i notice you still debating with him.

And sorry yes we can tax Public Schools Boys all we do is just put a pupil premium extra on the parents boarding school fees. Same with Universitys we do exactly the same.

bye hays.

Haystack - 17 Mar 2014 19:33 - 38360 of 81564

Wrong. I have not read a single post by Fred and have not replied to any. As usual your imagination has got the better of you.

goldfinger - 17 Mar 2014 19:35 - 38361 of 81564

LOL..........your answering me you schmuck.

Get some help with the your drink problem.

cynic - 17 Mar 2014 19:37 - 38362 of 81564

sticky - you're just being very silly today which of course you know anyway

Haystack - 17 Mar 2014 19:40 - 38363 of 81564

I haven't filtered you yet gf. It will be obvious when I do.

cynic - 17 Mar 2014 19:41 - 38364 of 81564

sanctions vs russia
have i missed something? ..... those sanctions look about as effective and meaningful as chucking a wet cottonwool ball at the offender

Haystack - 17 Mar 2014 19:43 - 38365 of 81564

Sad eh?

Haystack - 17 Mar 2014 19:45 - 38366 of 81564

I had some dealings with Max Clifford as a publicist some years ago. I may say more depending on the verdict.

Fred1new - 17 Mar 2014 19:47 - 38367 of 81564

Hazie One,

"Public schools are charities that cannot make profits to tax."

That is a misuse of the Charity Status and an abuse of the tax payer.

Those who make use of the private institution should pay the full cost of doing so.
