(see example below) The Game will last 10 weeks. The team with the biggest profit after 10 weeks wins the game. Team members should email each other or post on this thread their investment ideas for the Team captain. The Team Captain must make the final investment decisions. Teams can only invest and not go short. Buying at offer and selling at bid price. Dividend payments will not be included. The game is based solely on the price of a share. There is a maximum of 10 players per Team. Game starts 30th July, Team Captains should post first investments choices before 6pm Sunday 1st August. This Game is only a bit of fun and Golddog reserves the right to do what he likes (mutley snigger) Eligible players from GD's Tea rooms have already been placed into teams, if you do not wish to play then you can either tell me or just become a silent member of the team. You can't be serious GD! I know you have a soft spot for dogs, but keeping them and selling the geese that lay the golden eggs is a bad idea. I have held a large chunk of AHT since they were about 15p and have no intention of selling them, similarly I have doubled my money so far in CNE and have no intention of selling them either. If you are going to sell something sell something that you now, with hindsight, think was a mistake to buy.

tim, i say take the profit and run, invest the money in a new stock. This game is only short and every bit of profit is a golden egg. and i'm sure the other stocks we have choosen will bring home some funds yet. any other comments?

i was thinking of getting rid of Xansa for almost 10k profit? and putting another 100k into AHT. (you cannot moan about that Tim!)

We had 100,000 banked and not allocated and it says we have over 900,000 and odd
invested, with what seems an awful lot in Regal Petrol, did you invest our
banked funds last week??? Our request last week was for the proceeds of SN
only to be invested in Regal Petrol. and not also our 100,000 banked funds.
The figures look like the whole lot - proceeds + banked cash were invested.
(Please tell me I'm seeing things and being extremely dim if needs be
it's ok I can take it...)

I've been chatting to Hils and we'd like to dump Lara please and use the entire proceeds to long Stirling Energy. The epic is SEY. We don't want to trade at the am prices which are still dodgy though.

Hilary says that she'll be happy to let you have the proper closing bid and offer prices for the Friday trades over the weekend if you need them.

I think there has been "slight confusion"!! On Stockbunny's message no 352 she asked "please sell SN. and buy RPT with the proceeds". When we look at the team portfolio, it looks like SN. was sold (proceeds 86,070.36) but not only was that used to buy RPT but our VERY IMPORTANT AND VERY TACTICAL cash reserve of 100,000 was used purchasing 186,070.36 worth of RPT. Now this has cost us a lot this week and as I was the "plonker" who chose SN. can I throw myself at your paws and beg mercy and say can we be credited with the difference that we have lost by buying the extra RPT .....p.l.e.e.z.......

I know that you are a very superior type of poochy and very loyal and totally understand the importance of reputation and honesty and on that basis would you please credit us with the extra loss we incurred of about 10,000. Shall work out the exact figure after another glass of wine but I think it would be absolutely fair! :-)) You are such a handsome dog.
