Id give it to Evertons manager Martinez.

Hes done wonders with rubbish in the past, whos to say he wouldnt with England.

goldfinger - 05 Sep 2014 18:06 - 3849 of 6918

Anybody here truly excited at the thought of watching England on monday night.

I remember even though we lost big games just, we gave it a go and were very unlucky at times. eg, Venables Euros when Gaza was a tit end off of sliding the ball into the net against the Krauts.

Now we know what to expect......boredom frustration and a waste of time better spent down the pub.

And Rooney as Captain, the thought makes me feel physicaly sick.

Chris Carson - 05 Sep 2014 18:32 - 3850 of 6918

Yes! Jags and Bainsy both need the practice in defence. All very well Martinez encouraging Everton's defence to play out from the back. Preferable to do their bloody jobs in defence helps, been naive (shite) to date.

goldfinger - 05 Sep 2014 19:04 - 3851 of 6918

If youve got the right players Chris you can go over the top and play the long ball game.

I hear you shudder at this , but someone sometime will put together a team who is ideally suited to this with the personell to do it and strike fear into the Barca copy cats.

You just have to make them belief in it.

And have a team like the USA who work thier balls off for each other.

Sytems come and go.

No thanks gf, prefer to watch football. Failannie was excellent under Moyes at Everton using that system. If he wasn't injured I reckon Van God would have tried to get shut before transfer deadline. You can bet your life he won't be at Old Trafford in January.

Gary Neville can be interesting as far as football is concerned but Phil neville has missed a career as an undertaker commentator for big games and occasions...if there is a state funeral....you know who to call.....

goldfinger - 06 Sep 2014 10:21 - 3854 of 6918

LOL good one RF.

I'd like to think that England might get a result tonight....but I doubt it somehow....I think that we might be lucky to get away with a draw........

required field - 08 Sep 2014 19:21 - 3856 of 6918

A draw would be a good result for the three lions tonight !...

required field - 08 Sep 2014 21:44 - 3857 of 6918

Great result.....

Dil - 09 Sep 2014 00:15 - 3858 of 6918

Yeah , they always do well in the qualifiers

Chris Carson - 09 Sep 2014 18:08 - 3859 of 6918

Reading the report in the Telegraph, England fans haven't lost their sense of humour.

"Were All Voting Yes, Were All Voting Yes! Fxxk Off Scotland Were All Voting Yes!" :O)

Bit like the Welsh when we went 1-0 down to Andorra ...

"we're worse than Man United ...." ... I did laugh :-)

" you aint got a clue , you aint got a clue ... you jack b%stard you aint got a clue" ... to Coleman

Apparently our highly respected manager was born in Swansea and made over 200 appearances for Swansea !

90 % of Welsh fans who attend Welsh games (100& away) hate the six fingered gypo peg sellers from Coleman's hometown except the Welsh FA .

Gutted we won , sooner that failure is sacked the better !

Man U has reported a sharp fall in annual profits despite record revenues for the year. The football club said net income plunged 84% for the year to just £23.8 m.

Oh dear what a shame, never mind. Agent Moyes respect :0)

Statement re. press speculation
Tottenham Hotspur Limited ("THFC") notes the continuing press reports surrounding a potential takeover and the announcement released by Cain Hoy Enterprises, LLC ("Cain Hoy"). THFC confirms it is not in takeover discussions with Cain Hoy or any other party.

As stated in yesterday's announcement regarding the new stadium project, THFC has been in discussions with multiple providers of finance so that the optimum financing package for the project can be achieved and, in the course of those considerations, has met representatives of Cain Hoy. However, there are no ongoing discussions with Cain Hoy.

The Club is focused on the new stadium development and the season ahead

Corals are offering new customers 5/1 on Man United winning Sunday .... a corner !

:-)

goldfinger - 13 Sep 2014 02:48 - 3866 of 6918

Chris C your post above about Man U profits.

have you read the financial report?.

Net Profit were so low because yet again the Glazers raided the till.

Operating expenses for the year were £372.3 million, an increase of £62.0 million, or 20.0%, year-on-year.

Nothing to do with your ex hero Davey Moyes.

Chris Carson - 13 Sep 2014 08:33 - 3867 of 6918
