THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Even the torygraph is having trouble polishing the turd.

cynic - 19 Mar 2014 17:32 - 38482 of 81564

you really are a total arsehole ..... you genuinely disappoint me

have you even read #13640?
obviously not, for otherwise you wouldn't make such a goddam stupid comment

you clearly have a brain, so why don't you engage the bloody thing instead of just spewing extraneous labour-party-lines, which have nothing whatsoever to do with #13640

as i'm sure even you were told at school, even if you haven't quite (remotely!) managed to grasp the point - RTFQ!!

goldfinger - 19 Mar 2014 17:37 - 38483 of 81564

LOL........what the Telegraph. Good find Max.

CYNIC........The Telegraph cant even praise the Budget today, so what chance anyone else.

SACK YOUR ACCOUNTANTS.

goldfinger - 19 Mar 2014 17:44 - 38484 of 81564

I have read 13640 and its micro speel. One needs to look at the Macro view.

Any Tom Dick and Fanny can give a list like that but lets face it wheres their budgetary projections?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

No costings, no forecasts, did the accountancy trainee on one of Daves apprenticeships put it together.?????????????

You need figures like John Manns above.

Word of advice........change your accountant, your paying good money you should get a good service.

Fred1new - 19 Mar 2014 17:46 - 38485 of 81564

Cynic,

I have been waiting an intelligent post from you.

============

When are you going to post one!

==========

Ask Hazy one for the mantras from party HQ.

"Tough Choices and Hard working people" does not seem compatible with the motley Eton stunted cabinet of U-turn free loaders.

cynic - 19 Mar 2014 18:01 - 38486 of 81564

my accountant is a professional and doesn't pass judgement on the budget, as that's not his job .... clearly something you choose not to understand ......

You would have registered this if you ever bothered to read ...... the accountant does exactly as a good accountant should do .....he highlights the bits of the budget that are likely to affect his clients and there's some interesting aspects that are well worth registering .... but of course that would be of no interest to you, because (a) you reckon you know it all and (b) it has no political angle

anyway, there's clearly no intelligent discussion on the various aspects of #13640 ever going to come from you, which is actually a shame

Fred1new - 19 Mar 2014 18:31 - 38487 of 81564

Manuel.

Why then do you continue to sniff around this thread like a mangy dog?

what i find quite interesting is that, in anonymous cyberspace, sticky is pretty heavy and hectoring bully though i suspect that is not his true persona

though i don't even pretend to like you or what you allegedly stand for, at least you do not bully

President Putin’s Address to Russian Duma Parliament over Crimea

Colleagues,

Like a mirror, the situation in Ukraine reflects what is going on and what has been happening in the world over the past several decades. After the dissolution of bipolarity on the planet, we no longer have stability. Key international institutions are not getting any stronger; on the contrary, in many cases, they are sadly degrading. Our western partners, led by the United States of America, prefer not to be guided by international law in their practical policies, but by the rule of the gun. They have come to believe in their exclusivity and exceptionalism, that they can decide the destinies of the world, that only they can ever be right. They act as they please: here and there, they use force against sovereign states, building coalitions based on the principle “If you are not with us, you are against us.” To make this aggression look legitimate, they force the necessary resolutions from international organisations, and if for some reason this does not work, they simply ignore the UN Security Council and the UN overall.

i think the ukip reading is an anomaly, but otherwise this poll is broadly in line with past ones

Scorn for 'patronising' beer and bingo tweet from Tory chair Grant Shapps

Tweeters accuses Shapps of being patronising to working people by reducing their hobbies to bingo and beer

Conal Urquhart

theguardian.com, Wednesday 19 March 2014 21.32 GMT

Grant Shapps, the Conservative party chairman was accused of patronising voters last night as he attempted to use Twitter to promote the government’s budget.

Shapps tweeted a picture that said: “Bingo. Cutting the Bingo tax and beer duty: To help hardworking people do more of the things they enjoy.”

He asked his followers to re-tweet, “to spread the word”.
