THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

i think the ukip reading is an anomaly, but otherwise this poll is broadly in line with past ones

Scorn for 'patronising' beer and bingo tweet from Tory chair Grant Shapps

Tweeters accuses Shapps of being patronising to working people by reducing their hobbies to bingo and beer

Conal Urquhart

theguardian.com, Wednesday 19 March 2014 21.32 GMT

Grant Shapps, the Conservative party chairman was accused of patronising voters last night as he attempted to use Twitter to promote the government’s budget.

Shapps tweeted a picture that said: “Bingo. Cutting the Bingo tax and beer duty: To help hardworking people do more of the things they enjoy.”

He asked his followers to re-tweet, “to spread the word”.

As usual Cynic not reading the poll. Numprty hasnt realised its the EU election poll.

Little wonder he employs Arthur Daley and sons as his accountants.

cynic - 20 Mar 2014 08:18 - 38498 of 81564

goldfinger - 20 Mar 2014 08:19 - 38500 of 81564

Look at this one Max its even more contracending.......

BjIJajOCEAA0Bl5.png

you can always trust Grant Shaps and the Tories to put their foot in it.

Fred1new - 20 Mar 2014 08:22 - 38501 of 81564

Manuel,

Put your glasses on and read GF's poll again.

I made a mistake and almost cough up my coffee!

Then reread.

Fred1new - 20 Mar 2014 08:26 - 38502 of 81564

But this sums up yesterday's budget.

Benefits me, but it is like blowing in a paper bag.

goldfinger - 20 Mar 2014 08:27 - 38503 of 81564

Cynic NO its not.

the one I post nearly every day is the UK general election poll not the EU election poll you really are an a-sehole.

Heres the one I usualy post

electionista ‏@electionista 24h
UK - YouGov/Sun poll:

CON 34%
LAB 38%
LDEM 11%
UKIP 11%

Thats what you get from public school boys. Total ignorance.

He does this all over the money am board, little wonder conflict breaks out.

He always as to have a light shone on him and craves attention. Makes me wonder if he was an only child.

Fred1new - 20 Mar 2014 08:33 - 38504 of 81564

The two cons posters show how out of touch the con party and the likes of Hazy One.

Its a bit like thinking The Old Etonians still use their top hats to P. in.

Was the above M and H in their early days?

---------

Apologies, forgot the Hazy One never passed the exam to make it there.

Manuel, did he carry your bags?

goldfinger - 20 Mar 2014 08:45 - 38505 of 81564

Fred do you think manuel was 'an only child' he comes over that way to me.

Attention seeking, childish, always as to have the last word, seeks strength in numbers around him, thinks of only himself, is totaly selfish.

Fred1new - 20 Mar 2014 08:56 - 38506 of 81564

GF,

You leave Manuel alone.

He is my rag doll to play with!

goldfinger - 20 Mar 2014 09:03 - 38507 of 81564

LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LO LOL LOL LOL LOL

Hes now totaly exposed now that his bum chum Hays cannot support him here anymore.

How will he go on then without having some support to fall back on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh dear poor Little Lord Fauntleroy

goldfinger - 20 Mar 2014 09:11 - 38508 of 81564

Update - Labour lead at 5
by YouGov in Politics
Thu March 20, 2014 6 a.m. GMT

Latest YouGov / The Sun results 19th March - Con 33%, Lab 38%, LD 11%, UKIP 11%;

Haystack - 20 Mar 2014 09:16 - 38510 of 81564

European elections that was published in this morning’s Times. Topline voting intentions for Europe are CON 24%, LAB 32%, LDEM 10%, UKIP 23%, GRN 5%. Labour retain their lead for the European elections, the Conservatives and UKIP are still in a tight race for second place… but with UKIP in a narrow third place.

Fred1new - 20 Mar 2014 09:32 - 38511 of 81564

The next thing the Hazy One will say is the outlook for the Cons Party is good.

A bit like Michael Fish's prediction before the hurricane before it hit him.

=======

But being a pleb, or member of the Hoi Polloi I wouldn't know!!

8-)

The present tory party is led by con men.

----------

Don't worry about out spending your pension fund, the next tory political policy will be a an announcement on changes to the Euthanasia laws in the next Parliament.

Haystack - 20 Mar 2014 09:38 - 38512 of 81564

Instead of spending money they do not have on expensive focus groups and polling, the Labour Party should just watch Channel Four’s GoggleBox. The show has people from all walks of society watching TV at home and it captures their reactions. Miliband and his pie-in-the-sky Jobs Guarantee Scheme popped up on the news, and the response will not make for comfortable viewing if you’re a Labour strategist or supporterSome of the family friendly comments include:

“F**king hilarious!”

“Ridiculous!”

“He is a bit of a joke isn’t he?”

“I don’t even understand politics, but I understand that is s**t idea.”

“The Labour Party… they must think we are donkeys.”

The people have spoken.

MaxK - 20 Mar 2014 09:50 - 38513 of 81564

I bet the tories couldn't believe their luck when the robber barons of the unions elected the lesser spotted millibandus to maximum leader status.

The next general election could be interesting.

Shortie - 20 Mar 2014 10:07 - 38514 of 81564

The Miliband Balls partnership is completely untrustworthy. As is the Cameron Osborne. The highlight of yesterdays budget for me was the removal of the need to buy an annuity with pensions (maybe I'll consider one now). Also I thought the NISA was a good idea to simplify things.
When it comes to the next general election then my vote will go to who ever I believe will get us out of Europe the quickest.
