Pursuit Dynamics - A British success story in the making? (PDX)

Andy - 31 Aug 2003 11:58

Pursuit Dynamics plc is a UK based research and development company, which was founded in 2000 to develop and commercialise a revolutionary pumping and propulsion technology. Pursuit Dynamics (symbol: PDX) was listed on the Alternative Investment Market of the London Stock Exchange in May 2001.

PDX 25 Sonic.

The PDX Technology is a steam-based system that has applications in both pumping and marine propulsion. It is cheap to manufacture, extremely robust, contains no moving parts and is virtually impossible to block. Pursuit Dynamics owns 100% of the Intellectual Property Rights that surround the PDX Technology.

Pursuit Dynamics is now working towards the commercialisation of the technology it has developed.

You dont want to hear about all my losses do you PDX is the only one that has kept my portfolio afloat

AdieH - 22 Dec 2004 15:25 - 386 of 1003

Had a similar year Oakapples your not the only one... Just had to move my money around to cover other losses but still managed to get my tag watch this year...

cavman2 - 22 Dec 2004 19:44 - 387 of 1003

Bought a load of these at 50p and again a 1, also I hold ARX at various levels starting from 13p.
Hopefully next year might be a very nice year.

Happy Xmas.

legend290782 - 22 Dec 2004 23:08 - 388 of 1003

Cavman. I have held INO and BDT (which are a strong buy), but missed out on ARX last year!!! Are you aware of the relationship between the three:

Basically Bid Times have a holding in Innobox and Innobox have a holding in Aerobox, so when ARX performs well you would expect the other 2's value to go up. The thing is it is hard to trade them as the spead is too big and is hard to get in and out.

If ARX do have a big rise one day, it would be well worth a look at the other 2.

A good day for all pdx holders again. My BNH were tipped as a buy in shares magazine as a tip for 2005. This is one of the few I have bought right at the bottom!!!!

cavman2 - 23 Dec 2004 09:14 - 389 of 1003

Legend knew about INO but not BDT, thanks for that.

Oakapples142 - 23 Dec 2004 14:57 - 390 of 1003

Just who are these people selling - are they trying to spoil Christmas!!

AdieH - 23 Dec 2004 15:43 - 391 of 1003

Lol taking profit I guess to pay for their xmas pressies... Must be short of cash, who can blame them if they bought just before the announcement they are up 40% ish, not bad for a couple of months investment... I'm in for more...

Andy - 28 Dec 2004 00:48 - 392 of 1003

AdieH,

Any further contract news, and those that have recently sold may have some cause for regret IMHO.

I am looking to add again in January, and I think my shareclub will certainly be adding in the near future, given the rise since our last meeting!

dclinton - 28 Dec 2004 22:19 - 393 of 1003

Interesting article on the beeb website about a newly designed steam car. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sci/tech/4076811.stm

The design of the boilers is described here: http://www.steamcar.co.uk/Design/index.htm

Wonder if PDX have considered coupling this up to their pump to solve the problem of steam generation for their ourboard motors?

Andy - 29 Dec 2004 00:08 - 394 of 1003

dclinton,

I believe PDX are aware of the steam car, so I would presume they are aware of the generator design too.

You can always email them just in case!

Andy - 29 Dec 2004 18:53 - 395 of 1003

dclinton,

Another decent rise for PDX today!

Results are due soon, although the date would appear not to be fixed yet, asper my telephone call to PDX this morning.

I don't expect anything but a loss, but hopefully we wil receive some news on possible/imminent new contracts, and what industries they may be in.

Ted1 - 30 Dec 2004 21:52 - 396 of 1003

Andy
Many thanks for bringing this little gem to my attention. Brought in 2 days ago and now sitting on a small profit. Long may it continue. Shall do some more digging for my own benefit but like what I see.

dclinton - 30 Dec 2004 22:36 - 397 of 1003

And up it goes. I've been sitting on these since the middle of last year. Glad my patience and faith in their technology is finally starting to pay off.

Andy - 31 Dec 2004 00:16 - 398 of 1003

Ted1,

Welcome aboard, and another decent rise today, albeit with modest volume, and I'm hoping we continue this steady rise through to results time.

I suggest you go through the company website, there's a whole host of different prospects to read about, PDX really does have so much potential in many varied fields.

The challenge of course is to turn the potential into commercial success, and I believe they will do.

dclinton,

Yes sometimes the best rewards come to those that wait!

Oakapples142 - 31 Dec 2004 13:32 - 399 of 1003

Not too sure I want this year to end. I have 17 stocks in portfolio and 16 are blue as I type - with PDX top of the Pops - Happy New Year everyone

Andy - 01 Jan 2005 02:06 - 400 of 1003

Oakapples,

Well done!

To be honest I've been looking forward to 2005 as I think this will be PDX's year.

The Coca Cola deal started this recent uptrend, just imagine what a few sizeable deals will do!

Happy New Year to all PDXers!

legend290782 - 02 Jan 2005 11:40 - 401 of 1003

Happy New Year to all... Being the cautious individual that i am, i sold out the other day... purely and simply because i have made a fantastic return as I am sure many of you have... and I have another stock to put my money in that should do very well (i hope!!!) ;-)

I am sorry to leave you all but I may buy back if they drop back... but hopefully not for you long term committed guys that have stuck through this thick and thin.

This company is a very good company and the share is potentially moonbound.

Any readers on this bb, don't be put off by me selling - I sold out of asos at 14 and 40p!! and dart group at 1.80!!!

Andy - 02 Jan 2005 12:38 - 402 of 1003

legend,

It's not a profit until it's in the bank, so well done!

They may well retrace, as nothing goes up in a straight line, but not sure how far, because there is potentially lots of news in the pipeline IMHO, and results are just round the corner.

Personally I think that Firemist has the potential of a company maker in it's own right, and it has already been demostrated in a simulated aircraft fire at Cambridge Airport, and performed very well.

As human safety is paramount, PDX have a potential winner on their hands here. I can vouch for the firemist after having been soaked by it in their factory! The main benefit, apart from the excellent fire dousing performance, is the minute amount of water used in order to do it. VERY useful in aircraft, where space and weight are limited, as well as for the local fire brigade, whose tenders could be smaller and lighter, or they could use the existing tenders in fewer numbers!

Then we have the drink processing unit installed at Coca Cola, which COULD be installed at all their 450 sites worldwide if it performs to expectations.

Then we have food processing, which I believe will bear fruit soon, due to the fantastic performance of the unit installed in Nottinghamshire.

I wish you well in your new investment, but if I would still keep an eye open for PDX!

mikeran - 02 Jan 2005 12:42 - 403 of 1003

Andy,
Dont forget the launch of the 25 version on 12 Jan. and the official handover to Investec as housebrokers on Jan.14th. still lots of potential.

Andy - 02 Jan 2005 14:13 - 404 of 1003

mikeran,

Totally agree, I feel Q1 2005 will be an exciting time for PDX.

The word seems to be spreading!

here's a snippet from The Telegraph;

"Dealers attempted to guess which stocks would be tipped by the media in the new year. Some speculated that Pursuit Dynamics, a developer of steam-based fluids technology, could benefit from positive press. The shares rose 7 to an all-time high of 227p."
